When you first came to me, you asked me how I was able to heal Johnathan Pangborn. I didn't. He channels dimensional energy directly into his own body." Dr. Strange: "He uses magic to walk?" Ancient One: "Constantly. He had a choice: To return to his own life, or to serve something greater than himself." Dr. Strange: "So I could have my hands back again? My old life?" Ancient One: "You could, and the world would be all the lesser for it. I've hated drawing power from the Dark Dimension. But, as you well know, sometimes one must break the rules to serve the greater good." Dr. Strange: "Mordo won't see it that way." Ancient One: "Mordo's soul is rigid and unmovable, forged by the fires of his youth. He needs your flexibility just as you need his strength. Only together do you stand a chance of stopping Dormammu." Dr. Strange: "But I'm not ready." Ancient One: "No one ever is. We don't get to choose our time. Death is what gives life meaning, to know your days are numbered, your time is short. You'd think after all this time I'd be ready. But look at me, stretching one moment out into a thousand, just so I can watch the snow."

Loved this scene. I loved seeing everything move slowly, giving perspective on the real world while the Ancient One talked to Stephen about the one thing standing in his way from truly healing from his accident, and her own troubles. The music is so soothing and lovely. So sad to see Ancient One go the way she did, but seeing the Astral Form talk was a wonderful goodbye to a great character.

I agree. I absolutely love this scene! It's one of my favorites and I'm afraid it gets overlooked by some.

Also, Tilda Swinton did wonderful. The Ancient One wasn't around for long yet Tilda made sure she was extremely loveable and even missed in the end!
