I was tested positive with syphilis last july 2023. I had the symptoms since may 2023, unknown red spots on my feet sole and palm of my hands and generally feel weak. I kept asking myself since may 2023 until the day i got tested why i always feel sleepy even i slept 8 hours a day and had proper meal and nutrition. I went to our local healthcare ang got jabbed in the butt with penecillin G. The doctor told me that I have a lenient syphilis. Maybe i got the syph way back year 2018 or 2019 and the bacteria just slept. Thankfully the medicine was free.

Have to become hyper vigilant these days. There are too many people that do not believe in vaccines or even doctors. I do not trust people, they would, out of embarrassment or whatever never reveal the truth. So, if you are going to be sexually active,, demand that your partner get tested for an std and aids. Do you value your life, or would you rather just take a chance"? There are a lot of stories about those who chose "chance" and are dead. They would be alive and well, if they had chosen differently.

I have some of the symptoms 😫 the worst part is since I was young, they always said it's parasites, till now I still have these symptoms especially the feet mark or red spots they just appear since I was a teenager, and I'm always tried and sleepy even though I sleep well.

I always ask for sti tests when i go to gyno even when i dont have any partners just to see

I have feeling wierd jaw after oral exposure and it starts after one day of exposure thats all not a fever nit any other is it concerning?

I have a sore that looks a bit like an ulcer on my junk, but it started as a white head(I get them on my inner thighs too, a hard flesh like thing comes out when I pop it) and once I popped it it now looks like an ulcer. Any idea what the bump is? It’s hard, painless and it’s hard to get the white head flesh thing out of the bump, and it bleeds a good bit once you’ve “popped” it

Hmm me Sons father must have been in the latent stage when I was involved with him. I only found out that he had syphilis because I went to the same clinic he did for my first prenatal exam. I tested negative for the disease but he tested again and was positive. I was treated with penicillin injections "just on case" they told me. They had no idea why I hadn't contracted the disease despite having sex with him and becoming pregnant with his child . Thankfully I stopped seeing him the year my Son was born

VDRL Is for screening not confirming diagnose, and it could be false positive …you should do FTA-ABS OR TPPA test

@@vertexop5510 I would suggest getting tested, I did and I didn’t have it. But just because you don’t have syphilis, doesn’t mean you don’t have something else. And anyway, you should still get tested because who knows, just because I wasn’t positive doesn’t mean you won’t be too.

@@vertexop5510 also I know this sounds scary but the rash could be like herpes, hiv or something, so I suggest getting tested for basically everything they can test you for. Better to be safe than sorry.

I still don't understand how I got syphilis, I had only one partner and he didn't have any signs of syphilis, and when I got it I didn't have 1st stage, I didn't have any wounds in my mouth or on my penis but after some time I just got to 2nd stage where I had terrible rash all over my body, I wasn't in pain it just looked terrible, I don't know how did it happen or why I didn't have 1st stage.
