I was diagnosed with brain cancer when I was 9. I am now 13 and cancer free. St. Baldrick's held a fundraiser for me about half way through my cancer journey. I will forever be grateful. Thank you St. Baldrick's!!!!!

You know what it feels like to not feel like you're in control of your body. That's an experience usually much older people face & it puts you at a unique advantage. You can make solid choices as you move through life. You can choose things that honor your flesh and nourish your soul. Or not. But I assure you, the better choices you make now, the better quality of life you'll have. No one knows the future but you can control your choices & I promise you, your life will be awesome. Thank you for the geographical tongue mention! I've had this my whole life and have even doctors think I'm just crazy. The first person to knew what it was when I mentioned it was actually a dental hygienist. There are so many foods I avoid eating because they aggravate it and it can actually be quite painful.

As an ultrasound tech, i can attest that this is true. It’s rare though. What happens from what i understand is that the mother can have extra set of dna from possibly absorbing a twin while she was in utero and pass on that dna to the child causing the child to have 3 sets. The dad’s and the mom’s 2 sets.
