No one but no one better live than Rory. The maestro, phenomenal on stage,like lightning in a bottle. Off it,the most humble modest guy you could ever meet.Was lucky to see him play 3 times, wonderful performer, Rory G was the man.Sadly missed but his genius lives on☘

Rory Gallagher, his battered old strat, and an audience. It doesn't get much better. Oh; and accompanied brilliantly by Gerry McEvoy; who played with Rory for many years. Check out anything from his "Irish Tour 74"; or in fact, anything live by Rory. Playing live really is Rory Gallagher let's fly the real deal.

I don't know if there was any better than Rory. He sure gave you your money's worth, and with his band, you just couldn't find better raw rock and roll. A shame, but not many even knew of him!

Saw him several times - a life force - sell out gigs - his last concerts 4 nights in the Olympia theatre Dublin, it is still a miracle that the building is still standing, rocked to the foundation’s

I’ve done several reactions , check out the playlist .. I only heard of fully when I heard this track ! So it was my loss and I suspect millions upon millions of others also !

One of the few if not only guitar player I have seen grab the guitar string up the neck and pull it to bend the notes. He was truly one of a kind

Rory was one of my all time favourite guitar players. He didn't use pedals or sound effects, all the sound came from his fingers. Greetings from Ireland Alan. Rory has a back catalogue second to none. He started off in the early 60s with the Fontana Showband from Cork. Showbands were an irish phenomenon.They usually had around 8 members with a full brass section. They played in ballrooms packed with up to 3000 people for hours on end playing everything from Irish traditional to country and rock and roll! Check out Rory playing the old Larry Williams track slow down with the Fontana in about 1964.

Check it out against the later version, the 1964 solo is almost merseybeat if that makes sense and the vocals are Rory all the way.!

@@FenderTele I used to own a massive collection of the Mersey beat magazines I bought them off a collector 😊 so yep it will make perfect sense . Someone stole my misprinted HELP album original when I was in the Army ,, gutted 🥲

@@alan-reacts65 it's a, pity about all those early magazines! Years ago I was in Liverpool on a stag night, and I was out on the Saturday morning I couldn't face breakfast!! I took a walk and discovered a charity shop with a clutch of 45s,all obscure merseybeat! Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, Sonny Webb And the Cascades and farons flamingos all on oriole! Looking back it was the best hangover I've ever had and I still have them to this day!
