It just brings up a point that has been proven over and over again in the discourse surrounding diet and human relationships. The more we try to evade our evolved nature - whether through, processed food, technology or pharmacology - the more we end up suffering individually, and on a societal level. I am not against these advances. Admittedly, they have brought the world a lot of good. However, let us not blindly embrace every advancement. Let us think critically about the consequences before worshipping at the altar of unmitigated progress.

I can confirm that the men I was attracted to completely changed when on and off the pill. This needs to be talked about. Many relationships have broken down because of this phenomenon. I would usually be off the pill when single and dating and only be on the pill when in a serious relationship. I would then lose both my libido and attraction when on the pill but never connected the dots. Relationship breaks down. Rinse repeat This went on for decades.

Then why do modern women still obsess about height so much? Isn't being short considered a "feminine feature"? Or does "feminine feature" only reference like facial structure/hairiness/voice depth, etc? I'm assuming that height preference is biologically ingrained on a deeper level for women which is why that preference doesn't get affected by bc?

@@JuniperGal-ek2pu Ya, but I'm just saying how it's interesting that bc overwrites a lot of women's preferences except height, which would lead me to believe the preference for height is more biologically ingrained into women than face structure or being hairy.

Feminine men have always been around though…They wore wigs, long hair, skirts, heels, makeup, pink etc. It literally has to do with culture and what is seen as more valuable/essential at the time. And I doubt estrogen/testosterone levels are related to social constructs like femininity and masculinity. :/

So what? If it’s tru and the masculine men don’t like it they shd also get on birth control to be less musculine and share the birth control burden. As it is women do most of the heavy lifting around not making babies. Or get vasectomies already. No point in the discussion when at the end of the day someone needs to prevent childbirth and as it is it’s men’s turn to change something about themselves

This comment makes zero sense. They are not discussing who needs to take up the burden, she stating what the research has shown, and making a statement based on the evidence. And to that, why do Men need to get vasectomies or take birth control when there are easier methods used to give women more agency when it comes to pregnancy. Birth control is about giving women CHOICES.

This is reality, it’s not blaming women or being anti birth control, it’s about making choices you gotta live with good or bad. And women need to take the info and make an informed decision. @@kennykorodele1861 which goes back to my point of women have done enough. It’s time for men to figure that out without involving women Eg make themselves less masculine/more attractive. The woman’s choice right now is no unwanted baby and so far that means birth control. If the birth control is bad for certain men they need to solve that on their own.
