I'm just here to say a part 2 sounds good~ and an idea for a future episode could be "Would you want to live through the signs of the day of judgement? Yes/no, which signs exactly and why?" Had an interesting discussion about this with my friends and thought it would be cool to get to know your perspectives on it! Keep up the good work ^^

This episode was needed! It’s greats, especially nowadays where marriage is constantly a topic of discussion. I feel like it’s portrayed as a negative thing to say you are focusing on yourself or your career before marriage especially as a women. They automatically think that you are anti marriage when that is not the case. People always assume that it’s at the top of your list! But it’s nice to see other who have similar perspectives.

You guys should do a video on free-mixing, issue of friendships with the opposite sex in the muslim community, and how to interact with them in situations where you’re forced to (work, school, etc)

Subhanallah, what a great topic you chose! Never expect of your spouse to make YOU HAPPY! Instead: work on the relationship with Allah, take good care of yourself and your OWN wellbeing before entering a lifelasting halal partnership and continue this throughout your life. No human being will come on a white horse to suddenly make you feel better. It all starts and ends with Allah and yourself, Allahu akbar. BarakaAllahu feekum for this enlightning episode my dear brothers. 🤲🏿🌱 Please continue such useful continent, biidhnillah.

Going back to the point one of you brothers mentioned about society perceiving marriage as the ‘end all be all’ and the ‘goal’. The core for marriage from an Islamic perspective, is to worship Allah, and therefore marriage becomes a means. We tend to as a society to put the means of marriage as the goal. A shared mutual goal comes before love/marriage. When a couple gets married, loving each other for the sake of one another does not hold down a relationship because I don’t think in the court rooms during divorces folks asking their love back. I think it all just comes down to your intentions. What are your intentions? Are you doing it for clout, for the sake of your family and all other societal expectations that are expected of you or you doing it for the sake of your creator?. In Whatever decision we make we should always maintain a level of introspection and ask ourselves the reasons for what we’re doing and why.

1:04:39 I but cant say I agree with Ashraf’s perspective on being feared. I’m sure he doesn’t mean it bc he seems like a wonderful person, but It comes across as controlling and as a red flag. I don’t think your wife should ‘fear’ you or be worried about your opinion. Because this all ultimately comes down to the person one chooses for marriage. If she is hard-working, self-aware and set standards for herself, she won’t be in need of her husband’s approval. When you are worried about disappointing someone it sounds so similar to toxic child-parent relationships where the child is constantly running for the approval of the parent. I feel like this mentality is setting the framework for a potentially toxic relationship.

I really disagree with the idea that there’s just one soulmate - I think you can have multiple soulmates in friends as well as your partner, and your partner isn’t necessarily your soulmate which also works too - just my take 😅 very eye opening to see the male perspective, and surprising to see it’s not too different from females lol (at least away from the cringe 😂)

Your parents and Allah (swt) are the only ones you can love and fear harmoniously. In a relationship, the answer always needs to be love. If you don’t do something out of fear of your spouse, you shouldn’t be doing it, out of love, in the first place #7days

You guys are oblivious to the disservice you are doing to yourselves when unmarried men talk about marriage. This is slightly embarrassing for some of you. Appreciate the vulnerability though. But for the brother who closed the video, please don’t cross your arms when stating that these are just your opinions, it comes across as arrogant and not vulnerable at all (Just some feedback because you’re on camera)
