Alhamdulilah we are back with a bang! We had the pleasure of sitting down with none other than Sheikh Belal Assaad. A well known Islamic speaker from Australia and for some of us, our old Islamic Studies high school teacher.
We discussed several different topics including the impact social media has on our society, detachment of this worldly life (the dunya) and to top it off a description of Jannah (Paradise).

@@yaszai593 he told a Hadith of prophet Muhammad (SAW), said that “Anything that toxic your mind is haram/Prohibited” and cigarettes are obviously one of them!. That hit me so hard and i went cold turkey..

Assalamu alaykom wa rahma'tullah wa barakatuh, how sad, every day Allah sends signs and miracles, that actually have benefit and meaning, and help people, often in times of great need. I may have been inclined to being too fixed upon what is said, but I saw the name Allah in the clouds, at a time when I was in need of Him. and what it did, was remind me, that allah is always here, always knows what it is we need, and we do need from Him. Why do we believe that the Messengers were given greater miracles? Yet we don't believe Allah can comfort the hearts of those who cling to Him? I'm not given to sharing, however, I have been gently nudged along when I have needed it. And I have experienced and witnessed the mercy of our Rabb.

....and, the Quran is a miracle. and the stories within the Quran, are evidences of so many miracles. And not all the miracles were sent only to Messengers. [as]. We all know of the miracle of the birds sent to deal with the army of the elephants? Yet, for any of us, experiencing a smaller minor miracle. The claim that it is not so, is utterly sad.
TabarakAllah loved the analogy of the bank accounts and slot machine for validation and gambling with your own self-esteem May Allah SWT reward you for organising the talk with Sh Belal was very beneficial.
