What I did when I first fought Qlipoth Roots lmao, I stayed on the other side and just spam charge it with Blue Rose

@@Herodegon I remember that in my first DH run malphas was hell for me (actually most of the bosses were hell for me since it was my first DMC), in SoS was hell as well. But in DMD it felt easy asf. Just keep an eye when the chicken goes rampage.

Haha, it never occurred to me to just leave the building to avoid that vortex. I always just popped devil trigger after getting sucked in.

But Mr. SSSmoke we all saw that one video where that guy never touched the ground the entire fight, aren’t we supposed to do that instead of using actual dodge mechanics and ground combat?

@@motazmohamed1646 it’s only a little difficult, but with enemy step and a full clip of gerberas it’s doable. I’ve done it once, but it wasn’t very impressive in my case. A lot of dodging and not a lot of style.

Love how he didn't use DT to simulate as if it's someone's first time playing through. Great job!

@@disquietellie you will see goliath put stuff on his stomach(the big mouth)and it will shoot this at you as a fire ball.So you gotta hit the ball before it touch you.If done successfully you will send his own attack back to him.

@@disquietellie the chain arm, dont remember the name, if you use it before the fireball hits you you deflect it

Some more tips for those who are more confident with their timing: When he sprints at you, try hitting him with Overture, it'll send him flying backwards. When he shoots fireballs, you can reflect them back with Gerbera, even if you do one of it's dodges. Finally, when he's down after you've hit him enough, it's a good time to lay on a Breakage attack. Overture, Punchline, and Buster are all pretty good options in that situation. If you use Buster and you're in the normal mission (not Bloody Palace), try to turn so you're facing the stone tower while you're using Buster. It'll do some extra damage and give you a little extra time to re-position. Edit: Spelling

You can also use Gerbera to send his fireballs right back at him. (Keep in mind you can do this with overture, red queen and a few others, but you need REALLY good timing, gerbera is easiest to do this with)

@@zetarhythm3503 sorry, missed that part. But yeah, you can deflect them using other Breakers as well. Did it by accident with Overture when I had thought I had Gerbera equipped and you can also do it with Punchlines and even just with Red Queen's upward slash if your timing is on point

@@filipvadas7602 That upward slash is a beast for parrying. I find it odd that you can do it with Punchline, that's actually neat because you could ride it to him as a follow-up to the reflection if you wanted.

From a newbie to fellow newbies: First of all - change the game controls to learn proper muscle memory! See SSSmoke previous video & my comment in it, thanks. Second - beat the game once to figure out what's what and then again to collect blue and purple shards. /WwF_CXHVAL8 is a perfect guide for it. Third - Don't worry if you are nowhere near the tubers. In the end they massacre gamepads daily, of course they are much better. :D

Excellent video. With my own research I also found that Goliath will do 3 attacks, and then briefly stop for a bit. When he's enraged (horns glowing red), he will do 5 attacks and then briefly stop.

*Jumps everywhere* Video: stay grounded Uhh....yeah about that...

sssmoke: *does stuff to beat goliath* Me: *Spams max act and buster*

This is gonna be a lifesaver for my H&H run.

I never knew this but you can use gerbera to shoot back those orbs he shoots at you.

Many players snatch immediately to the boss->Risky, so stay on the ground Donguri, who plays as if the Ground is Lava: maximum mobility and take no damage, also S ranks; the same applied to SSSmoke Oops, i forgot they are not in "Many Players" :)

BRUH I was just doing runs of Goliath on DMD and getting my ass kicked, applied these tips S ranked him first try

you can use Devil trigger to escape any grabs and save an arm

If you can get the perfect Royal Guard on his explosion attack, it gives enough Style to usually get SSS rank. You can follow that up nicely with SDT for some good damage.

I usually take out my pent up aggression and frustration I have against DMD Beowulf on Goliath, and go straight for the eyes all fight, and that seems to work

One important thing to do when you snatch towards goliath is to get on his back he can barely hit you there allowing you to jump camel and keep attacking him

Just run whichever direction is the opposite of where it comes from either left or right. Running kinda to the middle of the screen basicly slows you down.

Ngl I consider myself pretty good with Nero I can beat bp and dmd with ease (still working on hell and hell) but Goliath always tricks me idk I always underestimate how THICCC those arms are

Used to be that I would constantly lose half my health due to his tornado thing and now he can't even reach that stage.

Man I usually have no problem with dante, everything is a piece of cake but I never got good with nero and he's such a fun character.

It's pretty of funny in an entry to the franchise the makes staying in the air so easy people forget that the ground exists which makes the game harder

It’s called Max Act. With good timing Nero can instantly charge one level of Exceed on any Red Queen swing, but with perfect timing you can charge all three levels in one go.

I always thought the trick was jump cancelling I had no idea what power I had ;_;

When i first got to this boss, i snatched towards him and ate a fist directly. I raged quit :( ty for this video.

Treat it like a large monster hunter monster. Insect glaives stay out of the sky if it swings high a lot.

What about the bloody palace Goliath. How do you dodge his vortex stomach attack?

I think Goliath is pretty easy honestly. The only thing I dont like is his vacuum whenever you dont have DT or a Devil Arm. That's the only annoying thing about him but other than that you got it in the bag if you know how to use enemy step

Bruh I used the hand cannons and called it a day.

Two attacks on ground, the attacks on air, repeat. Even without the jumping on foes skill is easy to keep up.

How is it possible to love a series so much yet suck so bad at!? I've been playing sence I first got DMC 1 in 6th grade and still can only win by the skin of my teeth. I feel you, I'm good at Soulsbourne games but DMC is something else for me, these people are alien to me for their abilities in these games

I think I only died like 2 times and ended up just using the pistol and side rolling

Not gonna lie, I love this game and I've been doing a DMD playthrough, but I do struggle with goliath every time I fight him. Hell, I only started using enemy jumps recently too.

Try using gerbera's dashes in midair to send his fireballs right back at him and try to stay around his back, as he'll have no choice but turn around to swing at you

The only godlike player to able to stay and spam air combos is Donguri the legend.

Me, who suffered defeat after defeat due to being uppercut once by Goliath in Hell and Hell: What form of power is this?

The boss is easy to go against with nero but it still takes a long time. I wanna know how to beat him up faster than 10 minutes. LOL i want to far the boss fight but i can't beat him fast enough on the higher difficulties for example dante must die takes me 20-30 minutes

I didn't really die to him in the first time I just struggled because I was still getting used to the game and all

uhhh...i never have trouble with Goliath. i normally stay in the air most of the fight but i always use enemy step to get behind him. its rare for me to get caught in the vortex since i either go right next to the wall and start running before im targeted or get right next to him where he cannot suck me in. anytime i do get caught i just DT before i get sucked in. Goliath is one of the easiest bosses in the game, i almost never lose. anytime i do its off pure luck

Just be above his head, use gabera and taunt

Damm I hate to admit that I lost a bunch of times to goliath in BP, I believed that he takes more damage to the head and jumped straight in the face, and I used the simple breakers to do damage (punch line, tomboy, overture, etc), I never used gerbera and now that i can't play dmc 5 o feel wasted

Doesn't matter, your dodge makes you invincible. That said, it's usually better to dodge towards the attack
