I don't think the Lakers head coaching job is the hardest job in sports, no way. Just by the nature of basketball it isn't as hard as other sports like football or baseball. Strategy does count for something but in basketball there are only 5 players on the court, there's not as many moving pieces as football and not that many strategic decisions as in baseball. In basketball the players play the game with a lot more of their own discretion improvising. Star players will often disregard what a coach says and just run plays the way they feel like.

Lakers should have chosen Bronny and making him 'Chosen One' to be the youngest player-coach and having the first father and son to play together in the NBA. 😁 Maybe Savannah can replace Jeannie to add to this. 😁

Wasn’t Rondo in some legal trouble at some point over a domestic dispute or something? What ever happened with that? I take it he won? Or they settled the dispute before court?

Listen man, I get that they wanted to change direction...but this guy? With THAT roster? They need more shooters and true depth. Adding a coach is fine but that won't change their position in their conference. Ask yourself, even if Redick can handle the job, do you actually believe that team roster is better than OKC, Minnesota or Denver? I almost forgot Dallas due to how poor they were in the Finals. If LBJ has 2 seasons in him? Hell no. You need the pieces around AD and James plus willing to go all in with their roles. The West is loaded. So UD is right. Teams have stormed past them got younger and it will be tough for any team to change their conference position.

JJ will be fine as long as the address the roster deficiencies and get healthy. Plenty of former players turned coaches have come in with no experience and done okay. Mark Jackson, Doc, Bird, Zeke and more came in with coaching anywhere else and all made playoff runs.

Last season was actually one of the few season where AD has been very healthy, so it probably would just go down from here. And the Lakers doesnt really have any asset nor cap space to upgrade their roster.

At JJ? All he was saying was that the team isn't good. That ain't a shot at JJ. Phil Jackson wouldn't stand a chance with this roster. The Lakers aren't good enough, and he's being honest.

Good thing the lakers didn’t go after Monty.. Monty’s overrated, rather gamble with Redick. Rondo has been viewed as a future coach, doesn’t mean he’s AD’s guy.
