Do People with Certain Blood Types Have Worse Covid-19 Symptoms?

There's been a lot of discussion about differing Covid experiences and symptoms among people with different blood types. Does your blood type determine how ill you become if you develop Covid-19? We're looking at some preprint studies to see how this idea holds up.

I was diagnosed with Covid two days ago. My blood type is O-. I have no spleen and have other health issues. My symptoms are fatigue, muscle pain, congestion, loss of taste & smell but no fever. Wish me luck!

My daughter caught it a few months ago. It only affected her sinuses without a fever ever. She lost her ability to taste food. She was telling me that 30% never recover the ability to taste. She has a degree in psychology and has been trying all types of things to reassociate tastes with her brain. So far she can barely taste things with very extreme taste/smell and even they are muted. She always loved chicken but she says it's like ash in her mouth now and always tastes rotten. I hope you all recover without lingering side effects.

I am age 45 and had Covid in Dec/January. Blood type A. I had headaches, chills without fever, fatigue, dizziness, lost taste and smell for about 10 days, difficulty breathing (like a bad case of bronchitis) and then a fever for one day the second week and then a few more weeks of headache and fatigue. It will be interesting to see in the long run if blood types affect one's experience of Covid. I am relieved to see a non-biased video.

Look up symptoms of parasitic infections and you will see a correlation. The infestations ARE well understood, just not discussed and no one is informed about how this "thing" spreads and infects just like parasitic invasions of nanobots and nano technology which the US government hold patent on. They created the whole thing and subsequent variants.

Me, my mom, and brother are all O+ and throughout all of this none of us have expressed any symptoms or tested positive and none of us are vaccinated; my dad on the other hand is A+, has tested positive, had strong symptoms, and he is vaccinated. This isn't absolute conclusive evidence on blood type significantly affecting outcome but it does follow the trend of the data the current research suggesting a notable difference in blood type contributing to susceptibility, with type O is more resistant while type A is more susceptible. It should also be noted that while at work (cashier as gas station and now working with environmental health and safety) I was considered fully exempt from all mask mandates due to it triggering my epilepsy; at Delta Airlines in the hangers and engine shop, my dad is required to wear masks at all times and get routine checks every time he goes in for work. This further follows the trend as I would be interacting with hundreds of people a day with minimal preventative measures, due to affecting my condition, and never was affected while my dad was interacting with at most a few dozen people with numerous preventative measures and still got it.

We put a diffuser in his room and just let him have his space for like a week and then after awhile he went back to work. Even after he recovered his breathing was slightly off but when he was becoming active and moving around again it improved that a lot.

I have to say I do believe there is a connection between Covid-19 and blood types. My husband tested positive he was sick with flu like symptoms then it felt like he had a bad cold. His fever never went above 99.6 and he is AB+. Now my Son and I both are O- and we did not get sick at all and we are in the same house how is that possible I even got tested and I was Negative. It has to be the blood types I believe.

Such an interesting video! Everyone in my household is type O, though my husband and 11 year old son are O+ while I am O-. We all had COVID last year around this time, end of January, early February 2021. My husband brought it home from work, and was very sick, hospitalized with double pneumonia and heart complications. I’d say my son and I developed symptoms about a week later, though his only symptom was a high fever and he felt totally fine. I was sick, thought about going to the ER, but my O2 sats and temperature didn’t get to points where I felt it was necessary. I must note that I also have Cystic Fibrosis, which presents with mostly lung complications for me. I was surprised that I did not need hospitalization and was able to fully recover without medical assistance. I send love and healthy energy to everyone out there!!!

There is so much about this disease that makes no sense. First, 'just' old people are the targets, then people with comorbidities, then younger people. What disease causes deaths in a succession of different groups of people at different times? Pregnant women were (thank God) immune..UNTIL they gave birth? Blood types are involved (those with type O have more immunity.) This virus, IMO, is not from a bat; it is way too selective.

I got sick after the second shot but not like this this is just terrible. I still think I probably had Covid before they were even testing for it the February it came out in the news but it could’ve been the flu I don’t know but it felt just like this pounding headache fever the whole body aching I could barely walk the last four days after the stupid booster. I think it’s stupid because I got sick but it’s probably not so stupid lol I know you posted a while back but just saw this videoHope you’re doing well

O- was the original blood type of Homo Erectus at the time that Neanderthal branched off. Are you Celtic or Northern European? If so, then you probably have a higher than average level of neanderthal DNA. There is a strong correlation between high levels of nDNA, Dyslexia and inventiveness. I am writing an educational aid for teachers to assist their understanding of the needs of dyslexic chilren. I run a blog called "Dyslexia an Creative Genius". O- blood types have some survival advantages particularly with bleeding and clotting mechanisms. I think this plays a role when Covid 19 causes a cytokine storm. People with O- blood are better equipped to survive. There could be an immunity avantage but it is not something I have researched.

With fever, sneezes and a bit of a cough, tiredness when i had to get out of bed to do stuff around the hse I didn't last long as I felt really tired and like I couldn't do it. I actually thought it was strange as I never have had fever from the flu but i guess that I will never know as at that time in my country the tests weren't even here. We had only just learned the virus in China. But it only lasted for three days except for the tiredness but at the time I was doing two jobs so thought i was tired because of that.

I have A- and RH negative factor. I got both vaccines, am a house hermit, 66 with asthma, wash hands when out, masks, sanitizer , the works. I managed to dodge the bullet for a year and a half but on August 2 this year I started with my first symptoms after going to Wal Mart 3 days before. My first symptoms was an allergy sneezing attack in public, then I had an asthma attack after the sneezing stopped. I started feeling bad so I went and laid in the car thinking I was weak from the asthma attack. Well 2nd day I felt weak, tired just laid around, 3rd day I had fever and lost taste and smell plus still felt bad. No body aches, no mucus, no coughing up mucus, dry cough. 4th day I went to doctor and my test was positive so no amount of caution can stop you from getting it. That was the 6th of August, got steroid shot and steroid pack, still no mucus. A couple days later my daughter (a pharmacist) said why aren't you taking antibiotics or something for COVID? So I asked the doctor's office and they sent in a Zpack I think the 10th. I went back to doctor on the 17th had a breathing treatment and another zpack, then a week later another breathing treatment and a chest xray. Some subtle infiltrate showed up (pus, blood, or protein) Google says, probably pus. I didn't go back out until August 29th and some days I am still tired and weak but I am 66. I really believe (for all of you anti vaxers) if I had not gotten the vaccine having asthma it would have killed me. The people I knew had it in spring and summer of 2020 almost died and they had no underlying medical conditions. The people dying in the hospital (RIGHT NOW-TODAY) are anti vaxers and I can say that for sure because I have a family member that works at one of our hospitals, they see the death count everyday. The deaths are more now than last year and it's not fall or winter yet. This virus is a killer and it's doesn't discriminate, please get the vaccines.

First of all I'm O+ 2nd) im a healthcare worker (assisted living), and a clean freak.. from March to end of December I practiced safety protocols, wore ppe and masks, scrubbed down everything at work. Provided care to covid + person, that was quarantined. Then, a coworker and I got covid during Christmas week. Freaking sucked. Mine started with bodyaches then I was fine, then on the 3rd day heart arrhythmia when laying down, and fever without sweating. And towards the evening extreme fatigue, body aches, dizziness. I felt like I was burning up from the inside out.... to me it closely resembled what my mom said her surgically induced menopause hot flashes felt like. On the 4th day lost my sense of taste, but could smell everything.... on the 4th day also day my temp got up high i got dizzy and woke up on my bathroom floor butt naked. I had a swollen lip, bruised shoulder and hip/thigh. Even though I didn't have the strength I tried to drink gallons of o.j., ice water, Gatorade, and eat jello and soup. I took mucenx, and severe multisymptom liquid medicine. I started to have a slight wheeze and was like oh hell no!!!!!!!!! I remember reading that you have to forcefully cough deep and hard to clear your lungs a couple of times a day, and sleep on your stomach. So I did. On the 5th and 6th day I started taking shots of acv with the mother 40ml, brought my fever down. Naturally for Couple hours, then it would spike back up. I even sat in my tub a couple of times in warm to hot water trying to make myself break the fever and sweat. And my wheezing had totally cleared. Then, on the 7th day I woke up and myself and my bed was drenched in sweat like someone threw a couple buckets on me. I didn't have any more fever. I had an appetite, could taste, and for the next 3 days I slowly regained my energy. Then I got the j&j shot for work (if we didnt get vaccinated they were going to fire people by June 1st)....I might add I was against it, I wanted the vaccine makers to refine it after all of these genuie pigs, get it and get more data..... but again I was made to get it or lose my job so then in March I got the j&j shot which is like having both moderna shots together, and got sick for 3 days- bodyache, chills, barely any fever this time, had a massive migraine which sent me into seizures, vomited for 36hrs and diarrhea. different symptoms from when I had it back in December. Ever since then my b.b.t. has been a little elevated from the norm. I used to range from 95.9 to 97.9, probably due to my hypothyroidism. Now I run 96.4 to 98.8

I am type AB+, I'm pretty certain that I caught the bug as I had most of the symptoms going on. I had pretty severe nasal congestion, plugged up ears, lost all sense of smell and taste for about 11 days straight, fatigue, off and on fever in the first five days with extreme rivers of sweating, a slight heaviness in the lungs but I kept putting Vicks on, moving around, and used my inhaler when I felt out of breath. Just used Vit D, C, Zinc, and Querticin daily and took some Sudafed to ease up the congestion. Never went in to doc or ER. Do not have the vaccine and will not get it. Also made sure I drank plenty of water daily as sometimes the headaches were bad and drank green tea with organic honey and lemon in the morning and that helped ease the sore throat issues.

@@sheilacave251 Mucinex works well too. My husband and I have Covid as of this week. We have a lot of the same symptoms, but I’m asthmatic, so I make sure to keep my asthma under control. This is a godsend and I will definitely share. Thank you Lord Jesus for providing us with this. 🙏🙏🙏

My cousin had O-, he “recovered” from pneumonia-left the ICU to the regular wing with dr. projecting that he’d b discharged 2 days later; he passed away on day 2.5 (after recovering from pneumonia) due to major blood loss(transfusion done, but it was too late). The dr and nurse could not explain the random blood loss; they said he died from COVID.
