Do Norwegians Want to Date a Local or Foreigner?

Ойын-сауық

Norwegians are known for their reserved nature and colder temperament. Men and women are equal, so as a woman you shouldn't expect the man to open the doors and paying for your meals. So.. how do Norwegians feel about this? Would they rather date someone from their own culture or do they prefer the exotic factor of the foreigners?

It’s a nice tactic to show the world. It’s something psychopaths like norwegians do to gain the respect of others because they care deeply of what others(rest of the world) think of them. But what brevik(mass killer from 2011)said is in everyone’s mind in the end. And that’s the reality.

But if the girls there enjoy dating foreigners, maybe I will try it there.

Norwegian translator here! What he is trying to say is, "You're Canadian, right? Now I consider Norway a shitstain in the northern back yard of Europe. The two most interesting buildings in the country are contained on one street. I am interested in figuring out what someone coming from a country with ca. 37 million people wishes to do in a country with 5. I'm trying to smoothly make this one-sided interview into a dialogue conversation, but I might be too hammered to do it proficiently.

Northern Europeans are some of the tallest and typically strongest people on earth. There's a reason why almost all of the world's strongest men come from Scandinavia, Iceland, England, Scotland, Ireland, Ukraine or from their descendents in North America. It's just a genetic thing and likely stems also from climate and diet. It's the same reason why the majority of the fastest sprinters in the world tend to be of West African descent. And why the best long-distance runners are very often of East African descent. Different environments influence local populations in different ways. Obviously there are always exceptions. Scandinavians also in general tend to have healthier diets and exercise more than people in other places.

the girl at 1:38 is another proof that no matter how emancipated a country is in regards to women's right ( being self reliant, self sufficient, independent and generally not approving of romanti /generous acts like a guy paying for them because that would go against their cultural norms) there will still be this need or maybe want to want to be spoiled by a guy. there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, i still appreciate when a guy is a gentleman and goes out his way to impress but surely that must be reciprocated with respect and lady like attitude

And the girl is picking up his socks from the floor, cleaning his soiled underwear, ironing his shirt, doing the groceries, making breakfast/lunch/dinner, washing-up the dishes, vacuuming the house, dusting the furniture, mopping the floor, washing the windows, watering the plants, changing the bed sheets, taking out the trash, putting everything back to its place, cleaning the oven, the washing machine, the fridge, the toilet, feeding the pets, walking the dog, changing the litter box, etc. Right? Because that's HER gesture towards HIM, and that's the tradition anyway.

A guy paid for our date once... It made me super uncomfortable... I payed him back after. 🤣 Just saying, one woman saying one thing doesn't mean that there is a general need for men to take a more traditional approach to dating. It only means that some women would appreciate it. I think that the most important thing is to find the person that is more compatible to your style of dating.

Why interview "Norwegians" in Oslo ? All Norway know that Oslo is the cesspool of Norway. Go do that in a real Norway city like Trondheim, Stavanger or Bergen or even Tromsø and Hammerfest. You will get very different answers. The our Northerners maybe speak funny, but they are cool and real people, NOT like Oslo. Regards from Stavanger.

When they're talking about foreigners all of them only have in their mind the white European cultures and people. So sad. They only mention Americans, Polish, French, Portogues, and British. African, Middle Eastern, South Americans, Asians, etc. are still invisible to these people. So sad and disappointed.

Feminism is more of a modern concept. A man providing was and is more of a conservative and traditional concept. You are not the one that's going to date her. She only dates certain men. And you only date certain women. You both have that right.
