Do Less, Lala. (Vandrpump Rules Reunion pt. 1 Full Recap)

Ойын-сауық

What's up Bros?! It's reunion season once more and we are with the VPR Crew. In part 1 we discuss last years reunion and the Rachel of it all. Most of the cast agrees they don't regret anything from last years reunion, especially given how Rachel has gone on a podcast/ press tour, filed a lawsuit against Ariana, talked about the show and bashed everyone on it. We go over Brock's relationship with his kids in Australia, the cast agrees he's a great father to Summer Moon but some questions still remain about his relationship with his first children. James and Ally come up and the scrutiny they received after starting their relationship post engagement, but meanwhile Ariana and Dan were championed. I think we all know why those two situations are different but James feels a certain way about it nonetheless. The main focus of this episode is Lala is trying to drive a wedge between Katie and Ariana. Bringing up potentially damning conversations had behind the scenes between her and Ariana. We've heard inklings of a huge fallout amongst the cast members so we see the seeds being planted in this first part. All in all not a bad reunion and definitely looking forward to the 2nd OR 3rd part... One of them will probably be a dud as 3 part reunions tend to have one blah episode, but the other one is going to definitely deliver.

James had the best outfit not only because it looked awesome but because with the pink energy and the way he’s been standing by the women the season, he really pulled off the KENndey vibes he was going for Like if Brock showed up in that pink outfit, I would’ve hated it, but James managed to actually pull it off in a way that didn’t make me want to gag or feel like he was a clown

I agree, to an extent. They have yet to mention Brock hitting his wife or use the word misogyny. Ive said it before, its not just womens responsibility to call it out. Especially when sadly a lot of men only listen to other men. They make a living commenting on a network with a mostly female & gay male audience. Two straight men have an opportunity to use their privilege to help marginalized people but they are falling short.

I give Ariana a pass for not watching the season prior to the reunion. She was in the middle of her Chicago run & needed to keep her head in that game since it's her real life dream - it's clear that she killed it on Broadway and I don't know if she would've had she been watching her "friends" talk $#!t about her all season.

Why doesn’t Lala ever bring up how Tom had hidden & lied about his entire affair for ALL of season 10?? That’s honest & transparent?? Ariana filmed with all of them the entire season with one exception, the 5 min one on one convo with Tom. That’s it. Yet she claims Ariana did nothing all season?? And Lala saying that no one ever gave Ariana a thought prior to Scandoval also infuriatingly inaccurate- if that were true, it wouldn’t have blown up like it did! That wasn’t the result of the public’s adoration of Tom & Raquel! Give your head a shake Lala, the jealousy & hypocrisy has completely taken over her.

There is almost too much hypocrisy and irony for one comments section. When lala says to Katie that she felt abandoned by her, what she means is that she is pissed and feels uncomfortable that she can’t control Katie this season, and that Katie is no longer her bobble head, like Scheana is. The resentment and shit talking you see lala always doing about Ariana through the years is bc Ariana is not the girl who falls in line and is easily manipulated. That is very intimidating and frustrating for lala bc she is a manipulative narcissist (again, the irony) and she can’t take it when she can’t fool and manipulate someone. And when she can’t control or manipulate, and when someone begins to see her true colors, she turns on them harshly and makes them an enemy and starts projecting on them. It is classic narcissist behavior. The only reason why people don’t recognize it in her as much is bc she is pretty and says even the most absurd lies with such conviction that it’s distracting to ppl unfamiliar with these traits and behaviors. 😮‍💨 In my opinion.

WHY does everybody keeps saying that she got into relationship 10 days after Scandavole! They met at a wedding 10 days after they didn’t start dating for months after that identical to James. Ariana shut down several times during the reunion because she vocalized that very sentiment but people were talking over her and she just stopped trying. I think she’s so exhausted needing to constantly justify every decision she makes. Especially Lala who polices everybody’s relationships, actions and words yet she point-blank says that she doesn’t have to justify any her actions i.e. meeting with Jo or calling Rachel or befriending Sandavole. Lala who claims she carried the show on her back all season while Ariana coasted by. Blah Blah I wouldn’t have had a season if not for talking about Ariana.

Brock has actually said he had his first kid around 19, and he's I think around 32. so his kids would be high school age now, I think you're mixing it up with their ages when he left. which was very young, but they were old enough to 1) witness his anger issues and 2) notice that he was no longer there. He's also referenced in other interviews that they're going from preschool to high school (I think meaning that's the time jump since they saw him). And whether there's issues from when he was around or if it's about him leaving and having a second family before bothering to pay child support or simply that they just don't have any interest in knowing him, or even reasons we don't know anything about, in my opinion just isn't our business because him putting his life on TV doesn't override their decision to keep theirs private. At this point, I hope Brock and Scheana keep firm boundaries around how in detail they go with this even if they do reconnect, because he may be on TV but his kids and ex never signed up for it, and if anything it could hurt the chances of reconciliation if the kids aren't comfortable with any conversation they have being discussed on reunions, podcasts, etc etc. I get why people are curious but I feel like if the kids and ex haven't come out publicly it probably indicates they want no part of the show/publicity, so I hope it doesn't continue to be a topic of discussion on VPR.

In my humble opinion Katie shared with Lauren about the business and Broadway because she trusted her as a friend Lauren that the show and money are the most important to her took a personal conversation and involved Grammy from the production in it they both did an exercise for Katie and wanted Katie to repeat the things she said to Lauren when she was nervous Katie was angry that Grammy was on the line, Lauren was angry did such an exercise to her and said that she shared it when she was really upset and she will not reproduce scenes because it is not authentic In my humble opinion, the character who screams that she is the most real and authentic and accuses others of being fake is and only she is fake, disguised and not real I mean Lala Kent is the most inauthentic in the show

Rachel was just refusing to hear it or believe it so then at that point it’s not Lala’s responsibility.

While I agree with you I have to play both sides on this one. Tom tried to speak to Rachel numerous times and she never responded and than broke up with him via Lisa. That opens the avenue for her to be discussed publicly without her being there. And to support Rachel, I fully support her separating herself from everything VPR/Tom but I do believe she owed telling him directly that she no longer wanted to pursue the relationship. Her therapist ok'ed her doing it the way she did but no therapist I have ever spoken to would validate ghosting someone in this fashion. They are both wrong but Rachel's complete ghosting of Tom is why Tom can discuss their issues in public.

The math on Brock’s kids doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t think they are as young as everyone is assuming they are. Brock is around 35/36 years old. If he had his first kid when he was 19 like he said he was then his oldest has to be at least 16. He also moved to the US in 2014. So the younger one is at least 10 so they have to both be middle school to high school age. Not like it reeeeally matters. I just think they are older than people are thinking and probably understand the situation far more than people are assuming.

Most kids barely have memories before the age of 5 so the fact it’s been 10 years since he’s seen them, they probably barely remember who he is. They’re also literally children & we’re expected to believe it’s all on them that they don’t have a relationship??? he literally abandoned them after treating their mother horribly then started a whole new family & life on another continent, I’d hate him too. We just have to believe everything he says bc his ex wife doesn’t speak to the press & is probably very private so he gets to make believe whatever narrative he wants. I think Ariana said “really” about Pump because she was surprised that 10 years is considered a good run. Especially as a new business owner she may be worried about SAH hoping it has more than 10 years ahead and something she can enjoy and focus on in her older years. I don’t think her comment had anything to do with any negativity b/w her and LVP 😻

Friends, start internalizing Any psychologist will tell you that a person sees the world through his glasses, this is the only way, and therefore people who think that others have an interest is because they are self-interested. People who think that the permit is unfaithful is because they are unfaithful People who think others are not real is because they are not real A woman who screams "I'm real" is the last thing she is real I can in a minute bring you statements and actions of Lala that contradict what she says today The most inauthentic character that exists lives under the guise of "the one who doesn't care about anyone, the strong one, the belligerent one" This is an extreme character who is constantly trying to stand out

I’m sorry but if a 7-10 year old doesn’t wanna see their father what the HELL did he do?!! That’s not some little I didn’t call on their birthday that’s like fear, anger, etc. He can be a wonderful father to his youngest but that doesn’t magically make him overall a good dad if he’s a shitty dad to his other two kids, so he’s 33% a good dad, 1 out of 3 is a failing score on a test

I saw what even just being absent did to one of my siblings from their bio dad, just that absence alone is a failure on his part. Get your ass to Australia and make it right before it’s too late and don’t leave until it IS right, prove to your kids they matter more than a TV show or an NFL team or admit you aren’t a good father overall, point blank period.

It may not be fear or anger. I think it’s simply his absence. They don’t know him and lack the desire to know him. 🤷🏾‍♀️ We also don’t know what his ex has shared about him.

Postpartum OCD is a type of postpartum anxiety disorder. It is characterized by intrusive thoughts and behaviors that are in response to a perceived danger toward their baby. These thoughts and behaviors are constant and repetitive, and they can severely disrupt daily life. Brock left his children, he was more important. Brock is on TV, Shay is supporting him on every level. Look at what he has done disgracing Shay... The tears are BS. Talk to the first wife...They have to forgive Brock because they want everyone to forgive Tom Scandoval.

I agree with Sandoval on absolutely nothing, but grooming IS about an adult or older minor manipulating a younger minor (key word here) with the goal of SA. I think ti's really important that we don't water down these terms to include adults. La La is often so loud and so wrong. I'm looking forward to the bit when Ariana straight out says "you speak the loudest so your right I guess". Hallelujah! Yes! She dominates every conversation so no one else has enough room to breathe or think

I wish Brock had said more when they asked about it being his 2nd chance. Something like yeah it’s my 2nd chance but my other kids deserve a good Dad too. Something that wouldn’t feel to his other kids that he has his 2nd chance now he doesn’t need/want them. Who knows, maybe he did and it was cut.

Def not defending Sandoval but I got what he was saying with the grooming. Typically when you hear that about someone it's usually an adult with an underage person. So yes by definition he was wrong but I think he was correct when he said when you hear that you think of someone of age with someone underage.

Kids don’t get a choice whether they want to see their biological parent or not…. No one wants to hang out with a stranger, especially a child so you have to encourage a proper relationship but for Brock to go to Australia to vacation and not see his kids is weird AF. fuck that these are my children. My child support is paid. Bring them over. You can stay here if you want, but I’m gonna see my kids.

My daughter met her bio dad when she was 15. Her step dad who raised her died at 46…he was her “Dad.” He adopted her and her bio dad signed his rights away. She goes to Florida all the time and she has not visited him. She doesn’t have the desire to meet him and when she did it was awkward and she wanted out. We went and got her as I was staying at a hotel nearby.

I have basically listened to all of your podcasts, from the front to the back. I love hearing your takes, even if I disagree. I have heard a shift in the bravo verse podcasters regarding "bringing something to the table" every season....and then complaining about casts doing too much. I watch for mindless entertainment and curiosity. I'm entertained if it's just filming mundane shit from an authentic life, if it's overly produced and "why do they do that" material, to the real life authentic drama. Ariana/Katie and Scheana/LaLa are 2 sides of the same coin. You can argue both sides of authenticity and manufacturing...it's the ongoing idea that there is a "way" IT is to be done. And if people try too hard or not enough, they suck, that annoys me. I like to listen to the bravo podcasts because it usually brings shared frustrations, emotions and also other points of view whether I agree or disagree, but I always go back to the story. I'm not a fan of the manufactured material, the exposition, but I still watch because I dichotomously love all of it. If that makes sense. I'm mentioning this because LaLa is not doing saying or being any different than any other person on the show including Ariana and Katie.

Ariana never cheated on scumdoval & please, don’t bring up la & Ariana in the backseat because sandoval enjoyed it too. Not including Ally in this comment because she’s so new.
