I guess that would be confusing to me. Atheism is just a lack of belief. Are you referring to ' do all atheists think the same' when it comes to religion, or other areas as well? When it comes to religion, i think that is pretty easy... we do not believe in a God, simply because there is no proof that a God exists... so every Atheist will agree with that.. but when it comes to any other subjects we are going to be, as expected, " all over the map"

@@space.404 Can you clarify what you mean by " all the spectrums"? There is no spectrum when it comes to Atheism, we just don't think there is a God, simply because there is no proof that one exists. It also does not mean we are 100% there cannot BE a God... we just feel there is no God, simply because the evidence is severely lacking

My sister recently came out as a trans woman and our immediate family has been super supportive and so have majority of her friends and watching this warms my heart cause the more I understand how she feels, the closer I feel our relationship can be. I love her to death and watching her finally become comfortable in her skin (she's battled extreme depression her whole life) is an amazing thing and has actually inspired me to work on my own mental health.

I have had the privilege of getting to meet Gina in person and getting to know her. She is genuinely one of the nicest people I have met and she is very caring and down to earth. On top of all that, she is incredibly smart, intelligent, and politically active. I had the opportunity to meet her through a political internship a few years ago, and honestly, the way that she describes her opinions on politics and the LGBT community is something that fundamentally changed the way that I view some of politics as a whole. Her kindness and acceptance of all people can not be overstated and I am very glad to have gotten to get to know her through the years.

It’s a phase most likely. Don’t let social media fool you. Regardless of anything... know you are perfect just how you were born. You are a miracle of life. Don’t do anything you will regret later. At your phase is normal to feel confused. You are only 14/15 years. You know in 10 years you will look back at things that made you upset and you literally laugh at it- it becomes meaningless and silly. By 25 is when your brain is fully developed. Don’t rush into things. If by then you still feel the way you feel then you can take the next steps . I hope you are under counseling. And that’s helping you to navigate through your emotions

Half the comments I see here are supportive allies loving the trans women, half the comments are from trans folks sharing their experiences, but 70 percent of all the long strings of replies are composed of transphobic bigots that have nothing better to do than to misgender people and act like a total fuckwad.

I wish this would have been longer. I could have listened to them all talk about this and other questions for an hour!

Gina is just so incredibly wholesome. The way she fished out her phone immediately after the video ended to take a picture is so cute. It reminds me of my friends mom who always MUST take picture when something happens. Gina really gives those "favorite teacher" kind of vibes. I enjoyed this video so much

Most of the time I don't think they hate trans people per se? More like the "transtrenders", people who are sadly very vocal and misrepresent trans people. Like 'transwomen' who actually hate women and fetishize us, think they can have their periods, like being catcalled and stuff. But our bodies are still different and still do different things ppl could still have bodies dysmorphia. I feel roles would exist regardless at my last job all of the porter work and storage room jobs were assigned to men. None of the women felt any way at all they were strenuous assignments and it took a lot of strength to lift those items. Now they are trying to make the females do those jobs due to “equality” but it’s causing a lot of issues and they are getting hurt

gender roles are what society think is right for a gender, for example for a girl to do some things described and broadly seen as girly. a lot of gender roles are harmful and mysoginistic and directly or indirectly make ones growth difficult. genders are what a person identifies like, not whether they do chores or any other gender role

I am confused. If trans people don't agree with "gender roles" so much and "masculine/feminine" so much, how come they spend so much energy trying to "transition" if these stereotypes are non existent? isn't the act of trans gendering solidifying the two genders and not leaving room for personal expression of a masculine woman visa versa?

That last comment was so beautiful - making me cry. It's true. I wouldn't wish the struggles, the surgeries, the discrimination, on anyone, but getting to be part of queer community is such a beautiful, wonderful, thing. It's part of what makes us who we are.
