If youre truly saved and encountered the holy spirit you feel extremely convicted and unrighteous if you live unholy. Id find that harder to live with a constant nagging of a bad conscience in my head rather than living holy to by best abilities. But as far as just callin yourself Christian but never bein truly saved i would agree with your statement.

Sure you can stay married for a long time, but you're not really fulfilling the potential of that marriage. "Being liberal isn't a religion" A political ideology can absolutely be a religion. I come from a family where my father was Christian and my mother was Buddhist (more agnostic really). THIS IS AN ANECDOTE. I don't know about others really on this because those around me had parents with similar beliefs. Though my family is great I can tell you that this puts a strain in a relationship. My mother simply didn't really understand why my dad felt the need to volunteer time to God or why he wanted to tithe. What ended up happening was causing my dad to make compromises that hurt his relationship with God. There is a lot of other stuff that affected this that I just don't have the time to get into honestly, so if it feels incomplete you're right. Good news though, my Mom now goes to church with my Dad on Sunday's and is starting to understand some of it.

I am currently in a unequally yoked marriage, and though I have seen how God has worked many things for our benefit out of love for me, I know that life could be very different if my husband were born again as well. He is not opposed in any way to my beliefs, and is not antagonistic towards our boys regarding me raising them believing in Christ and that is why I stay. There is peace for the most part. It may be because there's not a relationship with God. Maybe that's harsh? Another awesome video brother. I remember first talking with my now girlfriend. I was all in with my faith and she told me that she never really got “into Christianity”. I was straight up with her about my faith and honestly I was almost aggressive in a way lol because I told her that in a girlfriend I want someone I can pray with and read the Bible with and think deep about theological things with and from day one we read together in the word almost 6 days a week. We prayed every night together and talk so much about God and her questions about Christ and Christianity. I’m saying all this because I think it is possible to be “talking” with someone who isn’t necessarily a Christian. BUT! As a Christian I strive for Christian relationships because if I know someone and love them and they don’t know Christ, of course I want them to have a personal relationship with Jesus. So my first goal is for them to know Christ. Though it’s SO HARD to not do things for a girl out of pure infatuation for them lol. So it’s tuff. You have to be all in. She later told me that the only reason she read in the beginning and prayed and all that stuff was because she said that when I would talk about Jesus and what He meant to me, it showed her that what I believed in was something different. Something that she wanted. PEOPLE WILL SEE JESUS IN YOU. When that happens, point to Jesus and give God the glory. Now my girlfriend is all in. The fruits of the spirit are so evident in her life. God changed her heart. I couldn’t think of being in a relationship (with a girlfriend) that doesn’t have that. Love the videos. You know your word so well. Keep building the kingdom brother!

So I am a Christian who is waiting until engagement to kiss just like the awesome girl in the video :) I can say that it was mostly my partner's conviction, but I looked to Paul's advice in 1 Corinthians 8:13, "Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble." Although I didn't personally have a conviction on kissing before engagement, my partner does so I choose to serve him in that way, humble myself, and put aside my own desires in favor of honoring his desire to save that for the commitment of marriage. He didn't force me into doing that, that's just how it goes. In the same way I have a conviction that I will not drink even lightly, and I have many reasons for it. He doesn't have that conviction, but won't drink around me or try to persuade me to have a drink. With the "gray area" issues that aren't sins necessarily but *could* lead to sin down the road, it really is up to you analyzing yourself and your predispositions, as well as of course lots of prayer and discernment. Kissing before marriage is not a sin, nor is drinking at all, but for some it could open a door towards a path leading to sin that you'd rather stay far away from.

Wow! I loved this video. I remember when I was starting out in my faith (which was just a few months ago actually) I remember always being concerned with the do's and the the don'ts of Christianity and whether or not I was doing everything right but as I continue to grow in my faith things like those don't bother me anymore. I realized that we cannot be perfect and that's why Jesus gave us grace. I mean, even your thoughts and standards change and that comes as a result of the mind being transformed. (Romans 12:2) . Christianity really does consume you ( in all the right ways of course) Its amazing! Your videos are amazing, keep up the good work. God bless you, my brother in Christ!

Property in foreign slaves is here distinctly permitted. It was a patriarchal custom Genesis 17:12. Such slaves might be captives taken in war (Numbers 31:6 following; Deuteronomy 20:14), or those consigned to slavery for their crimes, or those purchased of foreign slave-dealers. The price of a slave is supposed to have varied from thirty to fifty shekels. See Leviticus 27:3-4, note; Exodus 21:32, note; Zechariah 11:12-13, note; Matthew 26:15, note. It was the object of Moses, not at once to do away with slavery, but to discourage and to mitigate it. The Law would not suffer it to be forgotten that the slave was a man, and protected him in every way that was possible at the time against the injustice or cruelty of his master. See the notes at Exodus 21.

I’m an ex heroin addict and sex addict if that’s a thing. Now clean and living for Jesus for 4 years, I wouldn’t support a sex before marriage community, but I know plenty of Christians with horrible pasts who are having sex and not married. They have a relationship with Jesus and know it’s wrong, but are too weak to completely change at the moment. They ask for Gods help because they can’t do it on their own. I believe if they died today they’d go to heaven, maybe a different level and messed up some blessings on earth. I believe the same for LGBTQ, the problem is that many start to hate God or completely change God to a different God.

I struggle with the dating thing. I am happily married now for 6 years and a believer for about 8. I absolutely agree that marriage as a Christian should be between 2 believers. Marriage is a reflection of Christ and the church and is the closest relationship we will have besides that with God. But if my now husband hadn't taken a step and dated a non Christian, I probably wouldn't be watching this video, I don't know if I would be saved. I'm not even certain if I would be alive. He didn't date me to preach to me, but his life and the way he interacted with me spoke to me and led me to seek after God. If I hadn't turned and followed God, I have no doubt we wouldn't have gotten married. Long story to say, I don't know. I suppose it depends on your intention in dating and your heart for God.

WRONG! The point is that we can never in this life be sinless but we should strive to be sinless with everything we have. It is hard. The Bible doesn't plainly say no kissing before marriage. But it also doesn't give a full list of what is and isn't fornication. If when the Bible was written it was understood that kissing before marriage was fornication, then this is a black and white issue. I gues a similar example is when the second commandment(Exodus 20:4-5) was considered to mean no art at all, but when it was written, the Israelites understood that the phrasing clearly meant idolatrous stuff.

Satan comes as an angel of light, other wise it would not be temptation. Satan knows what we like, can put thoughts in our minds, he is the master of deceiving. Not to judge you, but I was in the same position. I tried to do it Gods way as much as I could, but the more I tried to dedicate my life to God, the more strife there was in the relationship. I didn't want to life togehter as an unmarried couple anymore and eventually he asked me to marry him. I continued to ask God if there were hidden motives or things thatt were not from Him, that Je would bring it to the surface. 6 weeks before the wedding I started to see signs that the guy just did it for me, and did not want it himself. The relationship made us not better people but slowly changed us. I paused the wedding 2,5 weeks before to get more clarity, and after 3 months he had another girlfriend he had sex with (after our relationship of 12,5 years). God knew his heart and my desires to follow Jesus. I was single for 1,5 years and God tought me about marriage and relationships. I am now married almost 5 years to a man that follows Jesus, and the intimacy with God and my husband is nothinglike I could imagine before, it brought me closer to God. So please, pray for it and think about it.

"I get nervous when Christians start putting gray issues in the black and white territory" that is super spot-on. I believe the correct view of morality is not just black-and-white and it's not just all gray, it's the wisdom to discern black-and-white issues from gray issues, and the strength of character to present issues as they are, rather than presenting gray issues according to our opinions and preferences. Our advice to Christians should be Bible-based and opinion-free.

I know of many cases where a Christian has dated a non Christian and the non Christian got saved because their partner shined their light to them. There’s obviously other cases where that doesn’t work out. I think it’s important to have a marriage where both people are dedicated to serving God. I think that dating is a little different but it’s definitely important to look for someone who is open and willing to hear what God has to offer. I definitely wouldn’t date or marry someone who completely refuses to believe in God. However, it’s still just as important to shine a light to them and ask God to help their unbelief

I love many people who are non believers, but I could never marry one (I almost did though). Marriage is such an intimate, sacred, spiritual bond between two people. If you are a Christian and you marry a non believer, your marriage won’t live up to the potential it was created for because that spiritual congruence isn’t there. Friendships and acquaintanceships are completely different

Could you tell me, in detail, what it was created for, then, @L W ? Also, what were 'marriages' in Deuteronomy 21:13, and Numbers 31:52, created for - specifically? And were they intimate, spiritual - and consensual? Such context may yet be required.

Brilliantly put re: marriage to non-believers. My Christianity (I was raised in a strong Christian home and struggled with sin since my teenage years) was "stuck at the start line" and I married a non-Christian Vietnamese girl for many reasons, but none of which I would say would be acceptable to God as they stood. I also felt like I couldn't push my beliefs on her so didn't really witness to her. We still got married in a church and she was obliging to Western traditions in that regard. Anyway, the Lord reached down and put me to absolute shame, one day she decided to start reading the Bible and in her words "I dunno how to put it, this just seems like it's the absolute truth and very accurate" - this was a few days after she had a candid chat with my Christian uncle that reached a pinnacle when he asked if the Vietnamese have a "global Flood story" and she said "yeah thats an old Vietnamese fairytale, the Chinese believe it too, why?" "no, that's a Biblical truth that most civilisations still have some memory of". So she wanted to read what the Bible actually said and to her it simply made sense. Then she got into what actually happened with Jesus Christ and the crucifixion and how He is God and yet died for us all and it broke her heart yet made her whole. She often cries in church when people mention it, so deep has her love become for Him. Together we now live a life trying our best to avoid sin, we both absolutely love old hymn music, so listen to that instead of secular radio, we love attending church every week and having fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the Lord, and she's found many Christians share her love of gardening. I regularly feel quite emotional about how strong in the Lord my wife has become and how small and meaningless my faith was. I strive every day now to serve Him better. I also had sex before marriage and intensely regret it because now I see, it was God's plan all along for me to be with this particular woman. At the same time, I feel I have to accept it was all part of the process of realising how much of a broken sinner of a man I am no matter my raising, and that my only hope is in Him, and that I mustn't dwell on it but instead move on and be the man He wills me to be.

James 2: 14 "Faith without works is dead" These people are WAY too confident they're going to heaven. No amount of work can earn you a ticket into heaven, but neither can any amount of faith. It's a blending of those 2 and ultimately it's the lord's prerogative to decide if the blend you produce is one that is seated well beside him in heaven. I fear for my nation, America, where so many believe "by faith alone" and "I'll do 'my best'." Whatever that means...

I think it's really healthy to wait till college to even start dating. There aren't many teens who bag their spouse in highschool. Would I stop my kids or set a hard line...no. would I recommend and be really serious about who I chose at a young age like I really gotta think I may have found my we met at childhood spouse to start the dating process. But if you hold certain boundaries fine. But my problem with boundaries...when you love someone...you want them physically. It becomes a deep desire. That becomes increasingly hard to manage. So I say don't date until you can see yourself getting married in 12 to18 months cause after that much time it becomes almost impossible to hold onto verginity.

I am noticing more and more the importance of marrying a believer. I dont like being judgamental but other people don't get that the most important is to glorify God overall and do His will, the other is our shared values and common preferences but then there are so many things you can agree from the beggining and let alone the joy of worshiping together! To be honest, i wouldn't feel safe submitting to a non Christian husband in this days. The hard part is perhaps where or how to find the right person to conect. I haven't date in more than a year just because of that. My temple is sacred and not many understand that. Thank you for your perspective! God bless your path in Him.

Admiration laughs at actors, It is in you as a person that the nature of God is revealed, for a scriptural episode is not a record of an historical event, but a parabolic revelation of truth. To see Jesus or David as an historical character is to see truth tempered to the weakness of your soul. You must see what the characters represent, rather than the characters themselves. This is true for every story in scripture, for every episode will unfold within you.

I was a non believer and my husband was a believer when we got married. It did put a strain on our relationship in the marriage because although I was learning about Jesus I was also exploring other religions as well such as Buddhism. It definitely affected his path of faith because my unmotivation to know God affected his motivation to continue despite his big faith. We are separated and getting divorced now, but now I see how that was also a contributing factor to us not working out. Now as I am single I am getting to know Jesus and my identity to Christ now, but this should have been my foundation before we even got married.

This is a year or so old but my question that was brought to my mind was if all religions are a way to God why choose to be in a religion that opposes their choice of romantic relationship? I'm curious to consider whether they are knowingly aware of this or lead by the spirit of the enemy to mix a little dirt in the dough.

With the subject on abstaining before marriage, I decided to not even kiss on the lips before engagement. And what is the purpose of kissing? For pleasure essentially, and it can be so blinding! For example, I was desperate to find a guy I wanted to marry, and had a few duds, some worse than others. I almost ruined my life because I couldn't let go of one who was an extremely bad influence, he even offered to get physical and almost got to me at one point. If I had given in to that desire to have that pleasure, then I would probably not be a Christian today and would definitely not be married to the love of my life. Abstaining gave my husband and I a good level head going in to dating and marriage, and I'm so thankful we had that time to understand who we were getting involved with before we took things to the next step. Nothing on this earth compares to having a physical relationship with another human being, thats why its important, not to mention having a physical relationship can lead to children too, would you want to share your children with someone you don't love or trust? Some say the prevention to that is abortion... i could go on, but the value of human life is a topic for another day...

Too many people often say things like Christianity is the same or similar to many other religions. But to say that type of thing or to be a Christian proclaiming such an idea means you are either new in the faith, uninformed or completely miss the point of not being able to be saved by our works. But understanding God’s grace and the significance can help clear up such confusion. Much like a healthy relationship with anyone: get to know what it is and not what it looks like, especially in the faith and you won’t say things like it’s all the same (btw which is equivalent to what does it matter) anymore. May Jesus call you all home and may you be so touched that you praise Him daily. PTL 🙏🏼
