There are two more 10" Hones available that I haven't been able to find. One, is a must have for me and it's the 120 Mesh, 120 micron, extra extra coarse. Also available is the 8000 mesh, 03 micron, extra extra fine diamond plate. With my Spyderco Ultra Fine, Surgical Black Arkansas and strops I don't feel I need the xx fine diamond plate.
I have a new slogan for my KZread channel thanks to Jennifer Young. She mentioned keeping it simple and you've all heard the KISS phrase right? Keep it simple stupid. I don't like the stupid, never had and never will BUT "Keep It Simple Sharpening " is my new slogan. Thanks Jenn and Jenn, I show you my electric sharpener that I purchased on eBay in this video. It did a great job and might I add, a quick job in ruining the edge on what was a sharp knife. Don't hate on me if you love your electric can opener sharpener.
Back to the DMT DuoSharp Sharpening System. Awesome, the diamond hones are fantastic, quick, smooth and the end result is a razor sharp edge. I do go two stones past the DMT hones with my Spyderco Ultra Fine Ceramic and Black Arkansas Surgical Black. Stropping is simply a final step I use with any blade I sharpen.
