Finally! A Dante combo guide. So far people are just making Nero combo guides. Not complaining though.

Can I just say that I love this and I love you 😂 I've always wanted to know the idea or foundation of combos for myself to build off of, rather than being told "here is THE combo". You're a video that consistently and clearly explains the why behind combos, rather then telling me THE combo, which really is helping me build my combo routes with Dante. Masterclass of teaching. Thanks!

I got the hang of this almost immediately, wow. Thank you so much for the tutorial. From what i've been practicing, DMC doesn't seem super in depth as i thought it was. It's alot simpler than it looks. Especially compared to Bayonetta or Ninja gaiden which, good lord i still can't do combos in that game.

Bayonetta was designed to be more beginner friendly, so I find you post weird. Each have tons of depth either way. I got the hang of Bayonetta in a few levels, but DMC I didn't understand shit until halfway through my play through of 3.

Very nice video! Edit: 11:35 did you mean DMC4? So it was Reb/Gilgamesh/Lucifer but yeah, that's pretty much the reason I'd use 3 of those weapons in that order. (I was a huge fan of just using 2 weapons but I guess playing too much of DMC4 got me used to 3 melees eventually LOL)

Broly what about a suggestion on a weapon set if you want to use all 7 (3 swords) would it be best to have a sword after each other weapon ?

The charge attack in blow mode balrog is a decent launcher

Hey dude great vid! I played dmc 4 but kinda just button mashed my way with dante and i want to learn him seriously now. What advice can you give? Should i have a layout of my weapons or do i try to increase them one by one? And is void better practice than missions? Hope you can reply

Just play on default and stay in the air it's the safest place the best way to practice is void get any enemy keep doing Dante first air rave move jump cancel into another air rave jump cancel and repeat

i personally would pick 2 weapons ure most familiar with and changes combos on ur way of learning them, rather prefering a step by step approach than trying to do all at once. never works. Just learn weapon swapping until ure comfortable, transition to style switching during it and mix combos up, afterwards take in another weapon or try to make use of a style u used the least. cant get better with things if you don't use them but dont force yourself to do all at once.

also never ever button mash, if u wanna jc or string combos together ull never get the timing right without using proper inputs, just gotta say learning every property of every attack takes alot of investment but thats the fun of these games. What you can string together and how differentiates in a million ways, and timing is often strict. moves with long animations are rather easy to get into since you got the most time to react(like style switching, jcing or royal guard cancelling) eg: revolver on cerberus or cavaliere on about every move

Maybe I'm not reading the vid titles properly but which is part two for this video?

Slipstream is quite good for catching ads and gaining a ton of style

Also is there a need to master jump cancels before watching this?

getting used to jcing is the bread and butter in about every combo video u'll ever see. if u wanna get real stylish jc is a must

Bro jump cancelling is so much easier in 5 than it was in 3 😭😭😭 I spent all that time trying to learn it in 3 and came over to 5 and shit was easy 😭😭😭😭

You have to pay for it, capcom decided we weren't worthy. If you do have the Redline Cavaliere unlocked tho it's back forward style either on the air or on the ground, you can also cancel some of it's other style moves into it.

Switching styles on xbox controller is a pain in the ass...u cant claw the same way u would on a ps controller. The analog and dpad are the wrong way round...

Get a custom controller. I use the Razer Wildcat that has 4 individual buttons on the back that are perfect for each of the 4 styles. Playing the game with this makes a world of difference.
