    Great video! I'm getting ready to do this on my trailer this weekend. Luckily my trailer has a tube-style rails that I think I can put the springs inside of the rail.

    The springs need to be on the outside of the trailer. I mounted them on my trailer . Worked way better!

    What we used is square with a round wait on the inside. Get the weight of the tailgate. Split the weight period on both sides. And a round pulley for the top and a quarter inch cable. They have new Springs.

    Wiring should always be hidden and protected. Maybe run pc. Nice vid

    I bent my eye bolt too put my spring in it and pulled it back too lock it on

    It's close to the end, so I just inserted it at an angle.

    I used this video to do my 10" trialer. The PVC was 2" dia. and I used 8" 11'" of PVC.. Used a 130# spring on a tailgate that weighted 65# when down on the ground on a bathroom scale. It now goes up or down 2 fingers. Works GREAT !

    Probably not, but they didn't make one to fit this way for landscaping trailers.
