I bought mine when it first came out and am still flying it (April, 2024). I have several DJI drones, including a Matrice 30 Enterprise. The Mavic Pro is, as you say on the video, amazing. It's solid. I crashed one and the only thing that was damaged were a couple of propellers which I replaced. It really has nothing to envy the newer drones and the pictures / videos are amazing! Take good care of yours and it will serve you well for years to come. Thank you for the video!

For a beginner its phenomenal to learn with!

I’ve recently bought a used Mavic pro, bought another battery so that I had three, fills the bag! I also have a Spark and Inspire 1pro, selling the inspire and keeping the MP, because it’s worth it. Flies like a rock steady well balanced well made product that it is. Made my first mistake on the first flight, took the main guard off, but didn’t notice the small back guard, looking at the video, I thought I bought a lemon, now I know! Read the friggin instructions!

I've watched many KZread videos on the Mavic Pro. NONE have ever mentioned the controller's right shoulder wheel. Where the left wheel controls the up and down movement of the camera, the right one adjusts the EV or Exposure value. I was using the Polar Pro ND filters but was never happy with the way my footage looked. Always too dark and lacking in true colors in my opinion. I took off the ND filter and now I simply spin the right wheel until the EV is to my liking. I shoot mostly in Auto and I'm very happy with the results. Try it today! Thanks for your video Vince

I bought the mavic pro and didn't buy another one till 4 years later. I purchased a mini 2. It lacks all the hub bub that the pro has but for whatever reason, I like the mini better. I feel like it goes way farther and has better control. Maybe im wrong. I have some new vids if you want to check it out. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. Im going to forward it my friend. Im going to tell her to watch it since shes going to be using the pro.

I have the pro and the mini 1 and mini 2 still like the pro its quality bro

I got one of the first Mavic in Australia… and my bird still flies as well as it did when I got it… 2023

I really want to get the mavic pro 3 but then again, my old mavic still works perfectly fine for me

Not to mention it's the last drone from DJI that you could hack the hell out of it, so that you can fly anywhere you want and as high as you want.

I've had mine since the tail end of 2018. This thing has NEVER failed me and I'm extremely hesitant to get rid of it. I started with the spark the year prior and... I think it's safe to say the concept of that drone was better than the final product. That being said I sold it almost immediately after flying the Mavic Pro (2016) a few times. It has the reliability comparable to that of an old Honda... it's a great drone. Is it obsolete? Absolutely. But as I've mentioned, this thing has met my needs and I haven't really had a reason to upgrade. If anything I might go for the Mini 2 at some point just for the sake of size, but I may not ever get rid of the original mavic. It has been and always will be a BEAST!

I have a mavic pro, also just bought the mini 2. I love the pro but I must say this mini 2 seems so much better. If I was started right now I’d buy a mini 2 before a used mavic pro.

I still have mine.In 2021,Mavic Pro still fly like a champ!

I agree I still have mine and I dont see a real need to upgrade since the latest drones are not that much of an difference. The speed of the drone is the same, the battery life are pretty much the same. The camera is the only upgrade but its not much of a difference

@@walaowei1446 it depends on what you're going to do with the drone? If you're going to travel like get one a flight or go hiking then mini. If traveling and space is no concern then get a used mavic pro

Had mine for almost 3 years too. Crashed it twice and still works. I’ve flown it all over, always delivering stunning footage. Only issue is the battery swelling

after charging the battery allow a "cool down" time before using it. Same goes for after flight use. Allow time to cool down before placing on charger. This is a tip i picked up along the way with the Mavic pro batteries and the swelling problem. I love mine and just picked it up recently. I will be looking into the pro 2 and if it comes out before I buy the pro 2 ill get the pro 3 if its out by the time i decide to order it

Thanks bro I just got a used one for $300. It flies extremely well and stable. It’s geofence is also unlockable compare to the newer Mavics. I am not a photographer so no need for an expensive toy. My TVs are all 55” and smaller 1080p and I cant tell the differences between 4k and 1080.

Thought about getting the pro 3 but im still rocking my mavic pro platinum she’s been solid as a rock since 2017 & I’ve flown it everywhere in about every condition…ima fly her till it falls apart or it blows up lol…but i dont see it happening anytime soon i still get just as much fly time out of it since the day i got it. & for me..the camera quality is still great even in this day an age of 8k lol

Hi ! Nice video ! I am an absolute beginner wanting to buy a nice drone. My neighbour offers to buy from him a second hand Dji mavic pro combo (not the model 2) in very good state for $800 ... i am living in costa rica and pricing is 100-200$ more expensive than inthe USA. Do you think it s a good option or better go to a new mini 2 or mavic air 2 ? I would use it to shhot videos for my band and mabe commercial stuff inthe future as well ...Thanks for any advice ! After new regulations in EU, all drones after June 2022 need to have a green light that is blinking when flying in dark light. Do someone know if DJI have updated the drones firmware with blinking light under flying?

my DJI Mavic Pro has a green flashing light on the back during Flight , I in The USA though. It also has blinking red lights on it as well as I think a yellowish light that blinks.

The camera dome would also rise temperatures of ur drone.

I bought a maverick pro and tried to download DJI app and was unable to connect to phone due to DJI discontinuing Mavic pro

What about dji mini 2? Similar price nearly the same experience minus some obstacle avoidance and smaller sensor but it is under 249grams and has better transmitter range and 4k 30 as well as 2.7k 60 Same 12mp could be a bit different for software and bigger sensor.

No advanced automated modes. No 3 axis gimbal control, you can only control tilt No burst shooting No forward obstacle avoidance No C4K shooting format (4096x2160, max on mini 2 is 3840x2160) No 720p 120fps shooting (max on mini 2 is 60fps) No 1080p 96fps shooting (max on mini 2 is 60fps) 40mph max speed in sport on mavic pro. 35mph max speed in sport on mini 2. You gain a few things mind. Newer ocusync on mini2 Cine mode on mini 2 A slightly wider FoV (sensor size is the same across the two, just different lens on mini 2) Higher Max video bitrate (100mbit vs 60 mbit on mavic Higher max iso for photography on mini 2(3200 vs 1600). I have both. I use the mini more due to it being 250g there are more opportunities to use it easily, but the pro is still much more camera than most need, it's an incredible platform. The first post suggests you can't do 4k 30 on a pro but you can, at the same 4k resolution of the mini 2. The mini2 does offer 2.7k at 60fps the pro tops out at 30fps at 2.7k.

Dji go 4 still works, if the app won't open or keeps crashing, you need to delete the app and re download it directly from djis website through an apk file. This will fix the issue

Also check the chord that's used to connect your phone to the remote. I thought the app was no good, then I realized my chord had a short in it. When I replaced the chord, the drone connects to the app and works flawlessly

I wish I had used my drone more right when I bought it in 2017. Now, people are getting huge fines so you can't guerilla-shoot as much anymore without authorities really getting on you...
