There is a huuuuuge difference between where you can fly, and where you CAN fly these drones...

Did you even do any research? Building an fpv quadcopter does not require calibrating motors, and what is this balance you talk of, I think you mean pid tuning.

Does this drone not allow you to fly in FAA Red zones like the other models?

I always fly with reverse Throttle, so if I pull on the throttle stick, the aircraft ascends. Is it possible to adjust the sticks and reverse throttle?

On the parts list - I didnt notice motors, is that something you can replace yourself Or DJI would require you to send it in?

That new motion controller is awesome it is like what a fighter pilot uses

Okay so important question from both a professional and hobbyist point of view...I own a Mavic Air and use it for Real Estate/Business promo videos...will this work the same as far as cinematics go? Seems like it would. Thanks in advance for the info!

Does dji fpv had 2d goggles as I can only use 1 eye as 2nd eye I blow 4 nerve cells in left eye hence I can't eva see 3d or real fpv

Anyone get a notification that fly more package shipped separately from the actual drone? DJI just sent me an email saying the flymore package has shipped, but not the FPV drone? Like what is the point of doing this? I know you want to get stuff out the door, but I can wait. I have no need for the batteries without the drone. I could understand the other way around.

I have been waiting for FPV for the "novice" and don't have the $$ constraints that a younger person might have. I'll be checking out more FPV/DJI vids, but you did a great job a focused on all the right ingredients. How strongly would you recommend the virtual flying first?

What is the hard case brand / model you use for this dji drone?

So just to be clear. If you are flying in the direction of 30km/h Wind and this thing reaches top speed of 140km/h, half a kilo may come towards you at 170km/h. Sounds fun.

the motion controller is included? you did not feel like testing it so just did not include it in the review?

I wish DJI Would accept a trade-in of the V1 goggles for the V2 at a discounted price.

Where did you get that neon green piece?

How does the controller work when switching between auto and manual mode? The way the throttle works in the two modes would be different, auto uses a throttle that goes to the centre automatically and manual doesn't.

Once you switch to manual mode, you'll be prompted to position the joysticks in a particular spot to complete the switch between normal/sport and manual. But you have to be a bit more careful once switching back from manual to normal/sport, but it hasn't cause me any issues. - Vjeran

Watching video like, man the area looks familiar... Then it hit me, I park at the metro station right there and go to work at LAX.. I a drone enthusiast and if you're every in the area it would be a pleasures to continue going our community through this network of great people/pilots etc.

True, I love that DJI are getting into the fpv but this thing is going to cause a lot of heart break. Poor unsuspecting newbies crashing and having to not only spend a fortune to repair but it wl also has to go straight back to DJI!

These guys rock.

I highly suggest spending a few dozen hours in an FPV simulator like Velocidrone before flipping it into manual mode. You'll avoid a ton of early crashes.

Anyone had sensor issues and it falls out the sky ? Mine has 3 times and it’s being set back in bits

The best thing about home built/kit quads is how cheap and easy things are to replace. Can’t afford to be crashing the DJI FPV drone 🥲

I don't like that lack of stability feeling or dizziness sensation which is different from other drones.

What causes most of the noise from a drone? The actual motors or the propellers?

Propellers I'd guess, think helicopter. helicopter engines are nowhere need as loud as the propellers.

When they make this as tough as a carbon fibre iflight i’ll buy it. Only selling feature IMO is 20m flight time

11:00 it would be helpful to know what your total bill would have been for replacement of every part you broke in this crash.

I wouldn't recommend it without using the emergency break first. Our FPV pro Reza had some issues landing in manual mode, so he'd switch between modes for landing. - Vjeran

If you never flew acro before and you crashed only once in your first two weeks you're some kind of miracle. When I was learning on cheaper hardware I averaged about a crash per minute of flight time. I might have been pushing a little too fast but I can't imagine I could have started with this DJI and kept it intact despite extreme caution. Edit: Further into the video you say you were flying sport mode. Anyway you showed restraint by and large only having one mishap. Even further in the video: two mishaps. So DJI is hitting an odd angle on the market. They'll appeal to people with experience enough not to wreck the expensive hardware on their first couple of flights yet those are the people who have been DIY flying to gain that experience up to now. The battery life is perhaps the one area of appeal. I noticed that props are $15 a set which is astronomical for the FPV crowd. If you're adventurous you go through props like candy. For people diving in don't start with this. This will most likely be an expensive and demoralizing lesson in how hard sport flying is. I'll tell you I've felt that sting wrecking hardware a fraction the cost of this new system. Learn on something cheap because YOU WILL WRECK your first few in alarmingly short order. This craft is what you graduate to after you learn your chops.

So we just got a Mavic Air 2, I'd love to put the goggles on and see things from an FPV view. My question is will these goggles work with the Mavic Air 2? Great video, cheers

I was wondering this as well. I imagine if it does happen, it won't be for a while. DJI will want to push current DJI drone owners towards this new product, specifically for the ability to use the Goggles.

What does fpv mean?

Man that opening scene gave me anxiety lol. I've only crashed mine twice. The first time, I bumped into a doorframe when I was getting interior video of my employer's office. The second, I tried to take it up to film the sunset and a random gust of wind blew it into my neighbor's house. Besides replacing chipped rotors, it's fine. Drones are tougher than you think!

The reviewer and commenters are obviously not into FPV. For a better and full review go to Joshua Bardwell and KababFPV.

I don't usually comment on YT videos but hey, found a fellow Man United fan :)
