    Unbelievably I just tried my 1st manual mode flight yesterday. Thanks to your vid’s and some time in the simulator I did ok …didn’t crash. It felt good but I obviously have a lot to learn. The weather was perfect…no wind and it had just rained!…lol. Thanks for your guidance…keep them coming.

    You’re my main channel for avata content and I even use your rates, I love ‘em. However, In the beginning of learning, when you’re close to the ground 25 degree camera angle is really fast for beginners, 0-5degrees makes low altitude flight so much more manageable . Some pros like botgrinder fly with almost 0 camera tilt aswell

  • @TheReelRahim

    Man he flies crazy awesome and hope to grow in YT like him someday. Thanks for all the support thus far mate, and hope you enjoy the skies and the hobby as much as I do. Yup, some may find 25deg too fast, but I guess its a progression and down to preference. At 25, i too find belly-scraping low flights too fast, but I guess it depends on practice, and also how you want the output of the video.

    Here's the funny thing, I make the effort to not only speak well, but also clearly so that YT can help me do the Auto Captions. This will help others that may find the option to read subtitles in their language of choice. But then there are those that feedback that they cannot understand my English.🤷🏽‍♀️ Having travelled to other English-speaking countries, iv been made to realise that sometimes its a case of not carrying an accent or slang, and that makes it difficult for them to understand. I guess u cant please everyone right? Nothing big for me, coz as long as captions/subtitles can be translated clearly, Its good enough to get the right message across. Will continue to make informative videos none the less. Thank you for the feedback and enjoying my videos. Hope your journey in the skies has been smooth. Fly safe and I'll see you in the skies!

    Not an avid gamer, but familiar enough with gaming controllers, and yes it will be weird to have a loose stick. But it will make sense when in M mode, the stick will go from Altitude control to becoming Throttle. This is where having the stick self centre will not work well and having a loose stick will be perfect for throttling. Here is an episode to adjust it right: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZZ2o17ltosTMmag.htmlsi=mKJvDSSX76fcPqIO

    I have watched several videos on your channel. I want to ask something, I have read about the CAAS regulations, and in the next few months I will be going to Singapore, for wedding video making work, the plan is that I will only bring the DJI Mini 2 because it only weighs under 250 grams, and also the Pavo Pico which only weighs 100grams, do I have to register the permit with CAAS? Do I have to register for both drones? Will I be visited by the police, and will be interrogated if I fly the drone?

Truly and exciting experience, and so take your time to enjoy the journey. Eventually unlock Manual mode and you will freely soar the skies. Hi Rahim, I have an avata and still use a motion controller. Indoor flying is sometimes difficult to control, moving against walls like a magnet and falling several times. In normal mode using motion controller is it different from normal mode using fpv rc 2? Is using fpv rc 2 in normal mode easy to fly indoors? Thanks 🙏

  • @TheReelRahim

    @TheReelRahim

    Жыл бұрын

    Firstly, WELCOME to the FPV world! So the motion controller is great, as it allows for easy flying and especially because you can then use headtracking mode. But for true control of the drone, having the RC is much needed. In this episode I fly with the RC indoors in Normal mode and it was fairly easy to control and fly through gaps: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o5N6o4-PocSwe84.html As you progress, you could watch my tutorials and thats where with practice Manual Mode in the sim, and REALLY unlock the potential of the drone and the pilot: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4uNlJtwnbzdqtY.html All the best, and hope you get the most out of the Avata! See you in the skies!

I just did my first flight on the avata with motion controller, now i’ve been practicing on liftoff with a rc controller, i really start getting the hang of the manual mode ! My question, how can i enable the km/p hour that u have on screen? I only see m/p second. Thanks!

    Sorry i missed this. Glad that you have been doing some sim practice. Many just send it in M mode and CRASH. Getting comfy in N and S modes will NEVER prepare you for M. Its just a different beast. So anyways its in the menu : Settings/ Control/ Units/. U have the choice of either Metric(km) or Metric(m). Hope that helps.

    Hi Rahim, are you able to teach other model of drones?

  • @TheReelRahim

    @TheReelRahim

    Жыл бұрын

    I believe I could, but only if I have the model in hand. that would be v in-depth, but I don’t think there is a need to be so detailed. Settings wise, different brands and models have their variations, but flight controls would generally be the same. Prolly would create bite-sized tutorials on flying drones in general. But that would be a big project in the future with multiple episodes. Maybe see u then 🤟🏽

  • @TheReelRahim

    @TheReelRahim

    Жыл бұрын

    ID LOVE TO DO IT, but i cant promote it because im not in FCC region. Plus i often update my firmwares and thats gonna just erase any FCC hack anyways. Its suppose to increase the signal power output of the Avata. Its gonna take more batt life and will generate more heat, but your signal penetration will be alot stronger. BUT it will overpower others around you that are not on the hack. Not a direct example, but this is what happened to me. I was on DJI FPV with 25mW power as this was stock. A buddy was on analog DIY drone nearby with 200mW VTX. At any time that his drone was near to me, I'd be blasted out of the sky. What happens is, the DJI FPV would go to failsafe. It would be kicked out from M mode to N mode, and RTH. So this was what id always expect if im flying with others since im not on the hack.

    17:35 - Happened to me using DJI FPV. So I purposely try it at that particular location where it stops and say too far / high. Apparently it entered Boundary of authorization from enhanced warning zone. Not sure la in Singapore. Where the zones are.... By the way, watching your videos made me buy the DJI FPV. Thanks buddy!

  • @TheReelRahim

    AHHHHHHH THAT MAKES SENSE! Gotta try it out. Because that area IS an enhanced warning zone. Planes and helis do fly above, but its safe to fly drones too as long as it is within boundaries. Its a fly zone and SG allows it up to 60m, but I guess since DJI sees it as Enhanced Warning Zone, then the cap becomes 50m. WILL TRY IT OUT! Thanks mate! And hope u have been flying well with the DJI FPV. Do share your experience with it!

Then go to Advanced Camera Settings and set to have record with both Camera and Goggles. After that, switch ON Camera View for the recording. This should give you the OSD view.

  • @TheReelRahim

    Sorry I missed this. Thanks! Btw, the error is caused by having the throttle stick adjusted to be loose for Manual Mode flying. It wont go away unless calibration is done in the settings menu. Even that, the error pops up at every batt change, so i just ignore it totally. Sorry Thomas, I dont have a permanent solution for this. Anyways hope the journey has been smooth for you. YES FPV IS A COSTLY HOBBY! Anybody that says otherwise is a bag of💩. Neither DJI nor DIY is cheap. Anyways, I'm sorry mate, they softened the throttle response of the Avata and it does take some throttle to get it up. I kinda remember when I got it fresh, you can take off with lower throttle, and felt like DJI FPV in throttle response. BUT IT WAS HARDER to fly indoors. So I think they updated it along the way, to make it more flyable in closed spaces, but makes it "empty" in the lower throttle range. I may be mistaken though. Someone told me before that you could get the drone connected to a laptop and DJI Assistant and you could adjust your throttle expo there, but I have not gone around testing that. May include it in a future episode.

    Great idea. Thanks will be for next content. To start you off, this can be done with both Goggles 2 and FPV Goggles V2. Have the DJI Fly app installed and ready. Use the USB type C to A adapter/dongle supplied with the Avata and connect it to the goggles Type C port. Then connect a Type C DATA cable (charging only cable wont work) on the other end of the dongle, and then to your smartphone. The DJI Fly app will detect automatically and you will see the drone's FPV view on the smartphone screen. Try it out and let me know if it works for u✌🏽

    Sorry bro missed this. This is what I would recommend as its a complete flying package. Usually up to 6 batts would be a good option. Kinda like each batt will fly for 5mins, rest it and then after about 20mins u can charge it. Cycle the play this way and all you need is a power bank to charge. Getting the multi port charger is a good option. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005064307409.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.49.7c522eedjdNDOL&algo_pvid=399271dc-819a-4aa8-ba86-83c357462b09&aem_p4p_detail=2023032722112810410805694500200001845130&algo_exp_id=399271dc-819a-4aa8-ba86-83c357462b09-24&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2212000031498373440%22%7D&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21SGD%21626.51%21294.46%21%21%21%21%21%40211be72e16799802888645413d0737%2112000031498373440%21sea%21SG%214284925331&curPageLogUid=jEAI1iFhNumj&ad_pvid=2023032722112810410805694500200001845130_5&ad_pvid=2023032722112810410805694500200001845130_5

    What happens if you lose connection with goggles during a manual flight? Does it return to home? Brake in place? Crash to the ground?

  • @TheReelRahim

    @TheReelRahim

    9 ай бұрын

    Sorry I missed this. There is a "failsafe" feature for such situations. By default the failsafe is set to stall in place and then proceed to return to home once it finds its bearings. This will happen even if you are. in acro (manual) mode and flipped upside down in the sky. There's another option to hover in place but I wouldnt recommend that. You would have to get closer to regain transmission. This would be difficult if you are far out at sea. To note that it does need a sec to react into failsafe, and if you are already heading close to any surface, a crash is sure likely to happen.
