The UFC screwed him over when they signed him though, took them almost four years to actually get him a fight and he was already old by the time his first fight happened

It’s hard to see this knowing what CM Punk was doing in the WWE before he wasn’t made for this competition still respect to him for trying but this was so hard to see

They work hard for it though. As far as I've read, it's at least a 60 hr/ wk hustle between performances, gym time, practice, other media and travel. All with a high likelihood of injury and a possibility of death.

Imagine being a boxer with like 20 something wins and seeing some MMA guy come into your sport against the champion of a division and make more money than you've made in your entire career and lose. And then get another fight against another champion and get another insane paycheck and lose again. It's not MMA fighters that are disrespected. It's all combat athletes. People praise Ngannou for making money outside of the UFC, without considering how many boxers are trying to work their way up the ranks just to obtain less money than someone who didn't have to do the same. It's ridiculous honestly. Lesnar did it. Punk did it. Conor did it. Ngannou did it. And the Paul brothers did it. It's a sad state of affairs for those sports in particular. DJ has even been destroying BJJ as well, there's just no money in that right now.
