@fsu88me you don't have to agree. I fought MMA professionally. I've trained Jiu-jitsu off and on for over 15 years. And I also grew up fighting. I know exactly what I'm talking about. Laying on your back in a parking lot doesn't work. I can tell you don't have much real world experience in actual street fights. It's an entirely different world. Yes, Jiu-jitsu can be helpful, but you need to apply it differently, and you can't do that if you haven't experienced it. I'm sorry, but I promise you're wrong. And fyi, I went out when I was younger with a bunch of teammates and have seen high level grapplers be of absolutely no use in a real brawl.

It was an expert standup by referee that really elevated the pace of the contest. Ref had the experience to recognize a stalemate position where both guys were neutralizing each other that could easily go on for the rest of the round, not pure, but this is the a real push for entertainment mainstream jiujitsu, I like it.

Both did great but to me personally the movement on the ref to bring them more back in the mat solidified the submission. That slight angle in the move gave the win. Both badass and great work

I don't know the rules, but from what I could tell, Brooke's hand/wrist were being supported by the bottom rope in such a way that his arm couldn't be straightened out. As soon as they were moved the arm was no longer supported and was able to be straightened. Do the rules allow you to use the ropes like that?

Amazing finish but that ref was the reason for the tap, he pulled Mikey’s weight causes that arm bar to feel like he was going to break Brooks arm sideways. Can’t take nothing from Mikey, Incredible performance.
