We just had silence from 6 thousand people .. U all locked in 1 hr 10 mins fucking mental tune , thought the roof of the tent had come off.

This was some set - wish I could do it again - just once would do!

Easily the best Universe of 92, and I did them all, that said my first all-nighter so it was always gonna be good.

Went to all aswell mate apart from pleasure planet, Brilliant nights but my best 2 were tribal and mind body and soul maybe the pills, time machine was under the radar ( top night), big love was a let down because of the noise restrictions 😢

It was like a tent as well. Biggest one I ever saw. Best night if my life I think.

Best set ever, not a foot wrong, technically sound with great mixing and track selection and I'm a Ratty fan but this is awesome.

I wish I was there. Listened to this tape millions of times when I was a wee stomper, could never bore of it. Producers original chop up mixing style with some effective little scratches, just can't beat it. Grooveriders play list was immense, shame about his mixes though. Wow.

I went to universe tribal gathering 95 in May 1995 in Oxfordshire with over 35.000 people in attendance, plus universe had a weekly club in London that was there from 94 to 97 so not sure about the statement that they were finished by September 93 or did they sell , but definitely there were lots more universe rave after 93

@@norepetitivebeats The founder Paul Shurey still ran it after '93, he went into partnership with Mean Fiddler though. They did the mid 90's Tribal Gatherings together. Then unfortunately Mean Fiddler ripped him off I think for Tribal Gathering '98, which never happened, and that was the end of Universe : (

It’s mad because the only booked MCs for this event were MC Willie wee who was on in the house tent and MC AD (bizarre Incs MC) who was in the starship universe main tent, but there was defo about 2 or 3 more MCs on a lot of this event’s tapes, the main 2 were MC Joe peng and Ribbz

Saw him last night at a DnB night his choons and mixing were abysmal...obviously just there for the paycheck...Goldie was extremely average as well...Jumping Jack Frost is another one...how can you DJ for 25 years and still not be able to mix?

I think people that question mixing and mc's need to understand what raves were like in the early 90's. All about keeping the music going and enjoying yourself. If your going to raves and noticing a shit mix you must be bored. I'm not a big fan of rat pack when I listen on tape but live there a great act

Ill slightly correct myself and say shut up and dance,ragga twins and rebel mc pioneered british breakbeats that would turn into hardcore,darkside jungle and eventually drum and bass.but grooverider and fabio pushed it on to the ravers and those that loved the music.but in my opinion its hard to come up with much new nowadays.91-96 the sound was new.
