I was just watching my neighbor in her 70’s playing that out in her drive way. Probably practicing for the grandchildren. Thanks Matthew!
Hey Bubba , I started building cabinets in 1977 built for a long time and I miss it bad. Woodworking was my therapy. I have rekindled my want to build and I thank you for that. Will keep you posted. Keep up the great work.

Hello Matt, to answer your question the name Corn Hole comes from the popular practice of playing the game with bags of raw corn instead of bean bags. Tossing the corn through the hole became known as Corn Hole. Thank you for everything you do, I’m a huge fan.

Also, the name "Cornhole" is in reference to the bags themselves. When they were first made, they were filed with dried corn kernels (livestock feed), not plastic pellets or beads.

Been watching for few months, laying down with broken back, but like the way you are doing thr American Dream your own, way....love it!!
Awesome idea, just showed it to she who thinks she must be obeyed and she loved it. My real issue is have I not learned of using a jigsaw circular jig before now. I've been using the router which works great but creates far more dust in the area which isn't always a good thing when in someone's home. As a side note, when cutting out circles from things like countertops don't toss them. I had to take my four year old grandson to work with me the past month while I remodeled a community center. I turned the circle cuts into rolling toys. He spent hours rolling them back and forth across the large room. I had to bring them home because now when he's with us he and the neighbor kids roll them around the yard racing them, seeing who can roll the furthest and trying to knock over the others. This means we get to sit in the shade and relax while they entertain themselves with scrap cuts. Simple and effective.
Well, thanks for making it more challenging for me. I suck at regular cornhole, imagine now, lol. Nice idea! Now I wanna make this. Great work!!

@@MatthewPeechWoodworking so let's brain storm my friend. So, how about some kind of mini converter to charging source. Or maybe a way to install like idk, a ryobi, Milwaukee or some kind of battery. Something that can generate enough amp I would think. Your thoughts?
@jimmyhinsch7133
Жыл бұрын
Power wheels motor with gearbox is about $20 each transmission gear about$10... battery adapter for Milwaukee or DeWalt or Ryobi Ridgid battery about $13-16 maybe even a speed controller $13 and reverse switch $13 So min about $45-50 for cordless option per board or about $40 per board for rotisserie motor? Then it could be sold with or without the batteries.

Love this! Thanks Matthew! You are a true hero to the trade! I am thankful that I found you and follow you!
1:50 Matthew, I totally agree! the maker community is so secretive most makers edit their vids so its very hard to recreate as they leave out important steps purposely so you are forced to buy their plans and i respect the hustle, but i appreciate that you almost always show measurements and templates clearly and show most important steps concisely and even tho you have plans you generally let ppl know its more of an option (more like a companion to the video) and isn't necessarily absolutely 100% needed to re create your builds.
A brain that constantly explodes with innovative, creative, original ideas then take a step back when the credits are due. Your an amazing carpenter, creator and a humble guy to a fault.
I love your show Mathew. Thanks for all you do for your YT community. I guess I will have to add another one of your videos to my saved files.

Matt, you've done it again! This is a crazy cool build and I'm going to be making them for friends and family that I know will LOVE them for Labor Day parties. Thank you for continuing to build, share and inspire, brother. 👍
I like your philosophy, I wish more people followed suit. I'm in the UK and the cornhole game are not a thing here, perhaps I can start a trend!
You're a good dude. The world needs more attitude like this.
I love watching your videos. I'm new to woodworking and I really enjoy it! My father did a lot of woodworking and he had the same mentality of teaching others what you know. Hearing you say that reminded me so much of him! Thank you for teaching us what you know.
Love the round jib, thanks for showing that.
Sir that definitely changed the game a bit. Quality and craftsmanship good work... Even just being able to stationary change the whole would change the game too...

Corn🌽hole...😂🤣 glad you found a new way to play with it..😂_👍
Midwest corn country boy here, it was called cornhole because the bags were originally filled with dried up corn from the harvest that wasn't sent to market. So you were throwing corn into a hole. In northern Illinois/Chicago people call it "bags" as much or more than "cornhole" now.
Oh, man!! Thank you for the tip on using 1 1/4” screws on 1 1/2” material!!! I just built my first workbench and ended up having to buy 1 3/4” cabinet screws, which worked, but I sure could have saved a few bucks as I already had a bunch of the smaller ones. Well, I’m making a pair of twin benches, so I’ll use that tip on the other one. You’re awesome!!!!

It's my pleasure
I just finished the herringbone planter. Took me a while working on it here and there. Learned a few things along the way, like that fence pickets are a royal pain to work with. Also learned a lot about using a table saw, which I only had the most minimum experience with. I also learned that while plans are nice to have, the measurements are only right if your cuts are exactly right. The planter came out a little off square, and I should have measured for the trim pieces, as they didn't fit perfectly right. It's funny in a simple way, but making a square can be one of the most difficult things...
Thanks again for your dedication to our trade . And thanks for talking about sharing ideas.
Great attitude dude...cant wait to make this...thanks
Another genius idea for the drawing board. Add some lighting and really make it star wars worthy. Cornhole - possibly because the bags were filled with dried corn? Just a guess.
