People who only occasionally use power tools make do with what they have. I've cut boards that size on my table saw. It doesn't have a guard (took it off) or an extension table. Now, my 12" sliding compound miter saw is a different story. I use it most. But she has inexpensive equipment. By comparison, my miter saw and full size folding stand probably cost as much or more than all the power tools she has.

Great build Mav. The Eli you had between Hanna and your dad was definitely on point. I’ve been looking at doing the same but I’ve been having difficulty in finding a shell for my 2018 Toyota Tundra 4x4 sport. But you definitely gave me what I needed to build inside my bed of my truck.

The most impressive thing about Mav (and there are several) is his ability to organize and outfit the truck for cooking and living. I study his videos to see what he takes with him and how is stores the stuff so I can apply this to my living space. Thanks Mav.

If Hannah hasn't already invested in one, she would benefit from an impact driver. Use it to drive screws instead of a regular drill. Works extremely well with star drive (torx) screws.

At your 2 mins you have the drill bit in between the jaws. You have a fuse on the other end of your Positive wire don't you! Should have some form of manual disconnect there as well. Would be good to put plastic tubing over it to reduce the likely hood of a short. Look for a 3/4" knockout (electrical ) and put a short nipple through the truck box wall. You can put some RTV in to keep dust out.

Just came across this vid.....maybe since the build, you’ve already done this but if not, if you can place a solid panel “lid” on top of your driver side, kitchen set up, you’d have a roll out countertop space to set a camping stove and or cutting board on. Maybe have a wooden leg you can set under the end to help support it? That’d be cool. Nice work.

Mav, I have looked at many vids overlander camping. To maximize your kitchen. Have you thought of putting a top sections over the left side drawer under the bed side and put a drop down leg to support it. Once you have the top board on it you can still access your spices and have plenty of room to cook and not just your tail gate. Just a thought

@@661EASTON89 during rhe summer my uncle was cutting a corner off a peice of hardwood, and hes been doing carpentry for 25 years and isnt new with tools, but used the saw backwards becausw he just had to do a small quick cut and next thing u know the saw grabbed and pulled his peice of wood, cut through 4 of his finger tips, all 4 finger tip bones are basically shattered and 1 finger tip was hanging off.
