    Thanks for the vid, Scott. Appreciate the links to the safety gear you used as well. Though, I think you overlooked one item. Could you tell us what that is along the rope that runs the length of your roof ridge? I would call it a 'traveler', just don't see a link.

    11:45 neutrals must be relabeled when used as primary conductors, red tape or paint. Also the L1 for the combiner sub has been labeled as a neutral?

    So in the state of Washington.. I have 8kw 20 panels connected to AP system microinverter inverter. The rails are grounded with #8 solid copper on roof. I have 2 parallel runs of 12-2 romex poking down from the roof top into attic. Going into EMT side of the house with LB. Transitioning in the LB with a splice into #12 thhn including ground. Down to a combiner box Does this seem right? I'm new to this

    Awesome video. Thank you for making it. One question I have is what is the spacing between rails did you use? I have to mount my panels in landscape and cannot find anything that tells me how far apart the rails are.

  • @scottssolutions3849

    @scottssolutions3849

    You want approximate 25% of the panels height or width past each side of the rail. If the width of the panel is 40”. The rails will be 20” apart. Don’t forget to account for the offset of the mounting bolt to the rail.

    Hey Scott, thanks for this awesome video! I'm about to start installing a Solar Wholesale solar array on my house. I was wondering where you got the roof safety system you use in your video? I already bought a roof safety kit but I would like something that allows me to slide from one end of my roof to the other end easily.
