DIY Renter Friendly Wall Paneling Wainscoting | EASY DIY WALL PANELLING - HOW TO GUIDE

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you love the look of board and batten accent walls, but live in an apartment like I do, then I have the solution for how you can achieve a board and batten (or wainscoting) wall all without power tools, nails or permanent fixtures, and without painting the walls. When it's time to move out, this feature wall is completely removable!
In this video, I will show you how to transform a boring plain wall into a creative designed accent / feature wall for my living room makeover. Follow this step by step interior design process to create a living room makeover. This DIY project is perfect on a budget and it is ( renter friendly ) and is very similar to wainscoting and will cost under $200 to complete with very basic or little experience and tools. This is a perfect way for anyone to create an accent /feature wall or change the home decor on a budget and the results before and after results are amazing. This project can be done without a nail gun by using glue or hammer and nails if you want it to be more permanent. however, I did make this video to show renters how they can make removable wall moulding/ wall panels.

Girl you are just like me! People in my family think I’m crazy because of the manual labor I put myself through to get the beautiful space that I want/need. And If you want something done right and in this lifetime you have to do it yourself 🤷🏽‍♀️ new sub, keep going girl 🤎

And this all started from the thought that “I’m not gonna miss out on having a certain lifestyle just because I’m not in a certain tax bracket YET. So I’ll make the best with what I do have” Very comforting watching your vids. Thank you!

I think it depends on where you live when it comes to cost. I know I have found wood sometimes at The Restore.

Hi! Great video! What did you do to close the corner gaps? I don’t see that in the video

I just use some wood filler, but I didn’t put it on the wall cause I didn’t want it to get damaged. I also just painted over it, some of the seams were small enough that it covered the gaps.

I just updated the description box and put the links there. I also put a cheaper alternative both links are for CA but if you type the name in the USA website you should find similar trim.

How did you determine the size of the squares and the spacing?

I made a sketch first of what I thought I wanted on the wall and then I took the measurement of the wall and then divided the spaces for in between what the gaps would have to be if i wanted 4 boxes. And then I used painters tape to see if I actually liked it. I can make a separate video going more into detail how I calculated everything if you think that would be helpful.
