Thank you for this brilliant idea. When hand sewing, you can use a fork to indent your holes, this will help with equal spacing.

Wonderful idea because i was already thinking how to hand stitch this. My kidney dialysis tech is always looking for her stylus this clipped to her scrubs well end that! Lol TFS
I made three of these cute penholders today (except the decoration) and I am quite pleased. The hardest thing for me was finding the right kind of cardstock, as I don´t eat cereals. 😊 The papers that I tried first broke at the folding line. Others were to thin. Then I put a piece of paper in between, to make it sturdier. Now everything is fine and secured. Tomorrow I´ll go on and decorate. Thanks a lot.
You have the most creative things to do with our Junk Journals. When we add them, they can no longer be called Junk. They are beautiful journals. Great job as usual.

Thank you so much! I prefer to call them Treasure Books, because that's what they are to me. I stick with Junk Journals only because people are familiar with that term (but I don't like it)

@TreasureBooks, I don't care for the Junk journal term, either. Treasure book(s) sounds much better to me!
Hello and so happy with this idea. I have closed some of them with crochet and other ones with handmade stitches. My friends are now delighted with this peculiar and unique gift I have given to them.

Oh how wonderful!!! Perfect little gift :)
This added to the corner book mark would make a lovely little pressie, and possibly with a small notebook. You’ve given me some ideas for a thank you pressie…..x
I love how you write it down. I take a screenshot and print it out so I can put it beside me when I craft. I’m doing a family tree and as well recording history events that parallel their lives. Thank you for such uncomplicated series and your explanations are so easy to follow. I usually scan through most craft videos as they just like to talk about their lives which I hate....”don’t care “... thanks again, yours is relevant to what you’re doing and you don’t waffle on👌

I love that you love art just for art’s sake. You left not trying to push products. You are genuine. Stay authentic.

I grew up knowing them as split pins. Never heard them called brads until I started scrapbooking, it took ages to get used to that name. Absolutely love this idea.

hmmm maybe the crafty world gave them a new 'special' name, so that they can charge a higher price :)
I love how you have the instructions written out!
Wonderful! I was just thinking of how to fasten a pen in my calendar 2023, because it had none. So I will be happy with it and send it to some of my friends as a little gift. Thank you so much. I love your tutorials and your way of artful handycraft. Of course I will also watch the videos, you linked below. 🥰
This is one of those blindingly obvious ideas that make you go "Doh! Why didn't *I* think of that??" Thank you for thinking of it for us! Love the one with the little envelope - perfect when the journal is a present for someone...
Although I am a subscriber, I am not a regular watcher and I don’t know why! Every single time I watch your videos, I learn something! Your ideas are wonderful and your instructions are always quite clear! I am currently making a new journal for my shop and I am definitely going to add one of these! Love it! Thank you!❤️❤️❤️

Very fun and I could feel the creative juices flowing
Hey Natasha, these are so cute and the best part, is their practicality! Thanks for sharing!
I loved the idea of securing the elastic loop with the brad even more than sowing it down. I love the look of stitches, but the brad makes it more special, in my opinion. This idea is definitely a keeper for me.
Oh how I love this! I've been making pockets inside the journals. I'm going to give this a go ❤
Im so glad I found you! You inspired me so much. I got into creating something similar to your envelopes using white paper sacks I picked up at a thrift store. I sewed lace, buttons, used softener sheets and all sorts of textiles. After some time, I put it away for a couple years and then I saw your channel!!. Thought I'd take a peek and now I'm re-inspired! Thank you. I like the process you apply to your creations especially the book page envelopes. Love your accent too. I subscribed yesterday to your channel and have been seeing alot of your past videos. Thank you again. 😊

Wonderful! Thank you so much
The side of a butter boxes are about the right size, (we'll get 4 from that!) or the top side of a pudding cup wrap for 4 pudding snacks. (Might yield 2) Sturdy, plus they all have the nice white sides to fold to the outside. Nice backgrounds to decorate.☺️
Those Diy's came out so very cute! I love them!
I really appreciate that you have your list and directions off to the side for us to refer to, many thanks!!
This is just perfect for my notebook, to attach a pencil so it doesn't get lost. It makes a shopping list easier as I can add extra as I think of them and I can actually find something to write with. Thank you. And I can have fun decorating it. Lovely.
I went straight to my craft room and made some of these. Great use for greeting cards that we like to save in our journals…I found that I could place the elastic on the open side to keep the design the right way up. Also for smaller cards I put that on the front as a decorative element meaning I could still open the card to read the sentiment. Leaving the op open on some meant a tuck spot and also a blank folded piece of card on the front as a journaling spot. Lots of ideas from this Natasha…thank you,x
Confession, I’ve put off watching this video, thinking I’ll never have a need for Pen Loops. KZread kept insisting and so glad. You can never have enough knowledge when it comes to “Treasure Books”.

What a great idea. It is simply made, but it can be embellished in any way you like. Having a pen at the ready is always a good thing. If you have a themed or specific kind of journal, you can choose exactly the type or design of pen that will work with it and the papers you have used. I, too, like the look of hand sewing, and varying the color thread and type of stitch just adds to the unique look of it. Another win!

Thank you so much Jean!! I will be making some Christmas ones soon! These are perfect for a themed journal, you are so right!
If you hand sew the hole (that’s closest to a corner) twice, then the stitching will look more even at the corners. Love your very cute pen loops! I am inspired to make a bunch of them for my friends

I love these. I had decided against all that I could find to purchase for my planners and TNs. These are exactly what interest me. Thank you for sharing. I wanted to share that alcohol ink pens will color regular Brad's. I use them to color pin heads for stick pins and hat pins. I don't know how well a color would go over gold/brass color but I'm willing to give it a chance for fun. ♡~Heidi (I am often lurking at your videos on my TV via Roku. I can't comment from there.
