Welcome to Treasure Books! I'm Natasa, your guide to the world of journal making, where we celebrate the beauty of paper and art. Join me as we explore creativity, share our passion, and craft meaningful stories together.
It would be great to use a foreign newspaper, maybe Japanese, for the base. It would look wonderful even if you didn't add all the embellishments. I've done that fold but in a far smaller size and used them in journal pockets so I know they can get bulky with regular paper. Using a newspaper is genius. I state again that I hope you leave your brain to science (you can even wait until you're dead to do so - IF you must!).

I really wanted to watch your videos but I can't deal with the useless ASMR in the beginning
@TreasureBooks19 сағат бұрын
The ASMR serves to show you, the viewer, exactly what to expect to see/learn in the video, so I don’t think its useless. I think your comment is a little useless, especially since you do have the ability to fast forward with a mere little click of a button.

I started making these "wallets" back in junior high/ high school to pass notes to my friends before everyone got cell phones. I folded it slightly differently but never thought to turn it into a book. Thanks for sharing! 😊

Another creative masterpiece! I love the vellum made out of newspaper. If you were so inclined, you could try scrunching up the newspaper sheet to get some texture, then rubbing olive oil or another oil all over the sheet, or even hand cream, fabric softener and hair conditioner. I've seen those techniques on other YT channels but never done with newspaper, only pages from a magazine. I love the cheesecloth on the newspaper to make a journal cover. I found cheesecloth in Daiso in their cooking section and it's only a few bucks per pack. Thanks for the video, it's going straight into my crafting playlist!

Hello Natasha, I saw the thumbnail for this video on my TV and thought "Nah... boring", but the next few options were of a serious documentary nature and it was first thing Monday morning, my head could not cope so I thought I would go back to your video and have it on in the background while I make my coffee and wake up. Can I say it turned out to be one of the most interesting videos I have watched and I still have not had my coffee! Thank you. Which was my favourite??? I don't think I can pick. I wouldn't try the envelopes or the accordion effect of multiple pockets, but that is just personal taste. However, the stepped deckle edges on the notebooks - brilliant!!! the trick with the tape (which I have never seen), the combination of plain newspaper and scraps - wow, but if I had to, the multi-pocket first one would maybe win, but just by a nose... What I thought was going to be boring turned out to be one of the most enjoyable videos I have watched and I will be watching it again with my ideas notebook at hand. Thank you again, Natasha, you are a gem. (I am now going to have my coffee!!!!).
