@@SIDETRACKED i work at autobarn so get parts pretty cheap, but still rear bearings still expensive. Plus if you wanna pay for the rear axle tool to press out bearing is another $400. So shop price is pretty good.

I am in the process of putting my rebuilt GQ diff back in. I have all the axel parts painted up and the new bearings ready to go but I need to make up a Long dong silver to press the bearings and housing back on. You should hire out your Long Dong, Id be first in line. Good video and shows the process well . I do agree with @carton3417 about the outer bearing being pressed on from the inner race.

Nice video! I just love the high standard of the finished parts that are ready to assemble. Just thinking, do you think the outer bearing should have been pressed on by its inner race to the half shaft, to try and save the rollers and outer race from damage? It appears the outer race is what pushed the outer bearing on if i'm not mistaken. Also, the paint you're using for your axle parts looks great! What paint are you using?

Yep, I'd probably agree with that having done it now. Regarding the paint, after A LOT of research I'm using POR 15. I'll be showing that when the chassis video is released.

If you couldn’t afford new fold over locks, why would you use a previous fold. You could have used the opposite side. Have a think about how important that part is. I do enjoy your videos.
