Weight limit overloading can be blamed solely on manufacturers. Look at the advertising. Every manufacturer and almost every Australian car reviewer when talking about towing claim 3.5 tonne. Never mentioning how bad GVM etc is. I've even asked reviewers, spruiking about towing to set up a van AND vehicle for 'the lap' for a family of 4 and all the shit said family would take. Then put the entire thing over the scales to witness how overweight the entire thing is. NOT one has responded. I argue that I had to train to get my Semi licence, learn how to load, handle and back a vehicle while a motorist who catches a bus to work every day can hook up a 3.5 tonne van to his 4cyl car and 'legally' disappear into the sunset. But manufacturers should be forced to tell the truth about loading rather than the bullshit they sprout every day.

If they provided a bare basic ladder, the first numpty to fall off it half cut after a night sitting by the camp fire drinking rum would sue for a fortune, and they'd be out of business next week. It's all about teh safety. Plus...yeah. If you are getting on and have old knee or back injuries it's heaps easier to have handles. I'm 60, and I wouldn't own a caravan if you gave me one for free. We play a game on the road where we spot a caravan name and put "Anal" in front of it. Great laughs. Anal Explorer...Anal Wanderer...you get the idea, now go have some laughs.

The first thing I see wrong here is; the way the Anderson plug is mounted. It should be flushed with base. Second issue: the plastic shell will crack overtime. Or get scratched really easily. And lastly: to open to tent does take ages. And for the money ARB want for this tent. There are way better setups out there. Alu-Cab The Bush Company And the one that’s on my list to purchase next is: Boss Aluminium

Not sure it this comment will come too late but there may be some joints where you’re thinking spot welds that may actually lend themselves quite well to panel bond. I’ve used it in a number of places on a VW bus I’m restoring. What I like about this option is the adhesive can be spread along the entire joint which effectively acts like a seal as well as the physical connection.

The biggest downside is going to be the weight of 100kg. Plus, roof rack and solar panels. There is a lot to carry up on top of a vehicle. Price around $7500 depending on location. Thanks for the reviews on this.

Hi guys I watched your vid on the new 2024 silverado .just thought I might let you in on something. You said you would put shocks on it ,in gmsv eyes that would be a modification and no warranty for the hole vehicle. I found this out on my 2023 as I fitted a bull bar, suspension, wheels UHF. Now they keep denying warranty. My accessories have nothing to do with the warranty issues .because of all my problems gmsv said I deserve a buy back .as soon as I mentioned accessories the buy back was cancelled. Even down to the dent in the roof damaged on delivery and noticed on pick up .apparently this is also my fault as I have fitted accessories .other buyers should be aware of this as most buyers would fit accessories. what really rubs salt in to injury is they sponsor a fully modified truck for Aussie destinations unkown .cheers Rob
