DIY Nissan Frontier and Xterra Hood Strut Installation: Easy Step-by-Step Guide

Today I'm going to walk you through how to install this hood strut kit for the Nissan Frontier. This kit was super easy to install, but I'll give you some tips and tricks that I learned as I installed them.
Also, if you have ditch lights that mount on these brackets, I had a couple of challenges with those that I'll show you as well. If the video's helpful, click that thumbs up button! If you want more Nissan and DIY content, definitely consider subscribing to the channel.
If you want to pick up a set of these for yourself, here's a link (also a note that from the comments on Amazon, these also work for 2nd gen Xterras): amzn.to/3xZ2gxP

This is literally the first thing I put on the Xterra! Lol hated working under the hood without them.

I honestly don’t know why I waited so long . Huge improvement over stock.

Definitely the way to go. Further opening would make working on anything in the engine bay so much easier.

I was also baffled by the little plates. Very happy with the struts.
