DIY mobile table saw workbench

In this video, my first one, I'm going to build a DIY mobile table saw workbench for my Dewalt DWE7485-QS. This is also my first woodworking project and as a beginner I made some mistakes.
I have a few more projects planned that I will share with you.
I will try to show you the complete build.
Hope you like it.
You can find the FreeCAD files and a spreadsheet with all the measurements of the boards used in this project at the link below.

I haven't seen anybody on youtube using a corded drill for years, I love it! Best example that the willingness to do something is far more important than a big machine park. Great work.

Loved it, a very humbling and refreshing video. Glue spread by finger and wiped clean on the back of the pants, eyeballing dowels holes, changing bits with a keyed chuck, no impact driver and getting the young apprentices in to help. Had me thinking about how simple life can be and how difficult we have often made it. The end product was just as functional as any of the similar but far more elaborate and complex builds I have watched. I didn't see any mistakes made, just a person both learning and imparting new skills.

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzread.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

First build and you make that... Man that's impressive as heck! Massive kudos. You definitely have an aptitude for wood working clearly. I hope I can one day build a table this nice and functional. Also as others have said it's beautiful that you teach your children from a young age these skills. Not only are they learning to create a table, they're learning independence from consumerism, building creativity, and confidence. Thanks for sharing this video with us.

Good Job. I am working on plans for a 42 inch high workbench (I get tired of constany haveing to bend over). I wanted to include provisions for a table-saw. The DWE7484 is one that I am considering. However DeWalt says the dimensions are "28 high x 14.2 wide x 26.75 long, 54 pounds". I did believe it was actually 28 inches tall. I exported your assembly drawing to an STL file and imported it into ARES Commander. The dimensions I got from that were 22.5 inches wide x 22 inches deep x 13 inches high. Thank thee 🙂

I designed a table similar to yours i.e., notching the vertical 4X4 on two sides. The only difference is that I cut my horizontal pieces at 45˚ so that I would not have any end grains showing. Mine was a workbench but now after seeing your outfeed table I am going to build one like yours. I am thinking that I might try and incorporate a router to make it a little more versatile. Love your design, craftsmanship and also a fine job on your first KZread video. Good luck on your KZread journey. That is something I have not tried yet.

Boy, where do I start, first off what a great build and what a great video! I assume you live “across the pond” from America because I’m so impressed with how Europeans take what “we” call job site saws and turn them into table saws that accomplish the same damn things that we do with our high priced cast iron behemoths! I’ve got the DeWalt table saw DWE7491RS that has its own legs, it is so rock solid that I can’t bring myself to build what you did, BUT! You’ve given me a lot to think about. Again, great vid, really enjoyed it!

Just wanted to let you know sir if you can find it there is a specialty bit unit called a drill and drive, will drill the pilot, shank, and countersink in one function on one side and flip it over and your screwdriver bit is there, just a suggestion for a little bit of simplicity since you have a keyed chuck, but well done on the project nonetheless
