NO IT DOES NOT WORK .... THE MATERIALS USED do not correspond ! I tried making a mask and it does not work so i guess she used some rubber/yeso/ moldable plasticine to get the „pulp“

no cause we need this kind of good content back

before you paint it. make copys. or keep a template as then you can make more and more. and ajust your coppys to diffrent shapes as well.,

Questions: How many napkins do I use in proportion to water? How big is a "large water bottle"? What is plasticine?

A large bottle that is roughly head sized (wide), a 2 liter would probably work

Just as a fact, if you are going for an authentic plague mask i advise not using this video as reference. This mask is considered a venetian masquarade mask

I can see how a search engine would do that to you. Because Masquerade Venetian Mask is listed first in the title the second part is to give you a sub heading of style. I'm not saying you are wrong in your thoughts Saphire 6 especially if you are given wrong search results. The style is what a plague doctor would have worn. The fact it does not have the hollowed out nose for perfumed flowers etc classes it as a masquerade.

Stephen Thomas I am well aware of the differences between that of a masquerade mask and a plague doctor mask, as well as the uses. But not everyone are aware of these differences. That is the point I was trying to make

If you have trouble sanding, you can paint several layers of gesso and sand it to an almost porcelain finish.

I'm planning on getting into this and I just wanted to ask how long did it take to do everything before you had to let it dry? Like mixing the paste and forming the clay?

I’m just using a balloon for a different project and I already have a few layers of paper strips all around. Would I be able to use the paper mache pulp as a final layer on top of the paper strip layer?

Awesome tutorial. I have tried making the paper mache putty a few times and as easy as it looks, it always ends up very lumpy. Do you have any suggestions? I've left the napkins in for shorter and longer periods of time, but I have yet to get it right.

what do you coat the mask with?

would the plasticine fall apart if i make the beak longer? if so, what do i use to stabilize it?

Viper it may collapse... if you are using a large plastic bottle or something else you can cut as your base I suggest poking a long wooden dowel or chopstick poked in through the backside and out the front of your base. Then, you can add the clay over the dowel without it falling.

That mask looks similar to Captain Briggsy’s golden mask from Sea Of Thieves.

Michael Miller it's basically clay that won't dry out and you can't bake it so anyhting that says that. Also called modeling clay sometimes

In the USA we have a product called "modeling clay" that is for children and will not dry out. Crayola sells one - just google "Crayola Modeling Clay" and make sure it says "won't dry out". That is what plasticine is. You can also use a polymer clay, but dont bake it
