Thanks for the great tip on making sure the ladder will fit the three studs you choose without running into a rung! I hadn't thought of that and this tip saved me from possible placing a hook right where a rung would run into it! With my luck that would happen.

Kellie, I was just tired of dealing with that thing just taking up valuable space in the garage when I really only needed it once a year for holiday lights. For the money, this was a really simple solution. Thanks so much for watching.

I am new to DIY, I have hooks that need screws. If I am installing the hook do I need an anchor if I am screwing it into the stud?

We are starting to do that now. We have a list of new ones we need to make so yes, for sure.

I want to store my tallest aluminium ladder outside, is it safe or do they get affected by weather conditions, is it detrimental to them in any way?

Aluminum isn’t suppose to rust, but leaving outdoors will accumulate a lot of blown crud, the labels will fade and peel off due to UV and oil will run off so the joints will get frozen.
