Kitchen is gorgeous!! i have been thinking of using IKEA cabinets but not sure if it supports a countertop from a different store not IKEA countertop...did you use IKEA countertops or a different store one? i'm just scared that it doesn't support the countertops

Wow you did amazing job! I like white countertop and I hate to put stuff on them! The idea of hiding microwave and toaster oven is absolutely my favorite! Love Love your IKEA kitchen! I wish you are my neighbor and you can renovate my kitchen😂

Genius! I love that you extended to the laundry space. I’ve been looking for more space to clear up counter space and thanks to you… We will do that in our laundry space. We have a lil’ gingerbread looking house with a laundry space very close and similar to yours

I have been watching your wonderful plant based recipes on PBDs and I'm currently in the process of trying to come up with a design remodel for my kitchen. Much to my surprise when I clicked on this video I thought I was seeing a double. I had no idea you had this channel But I have cleaned much useful information from how you designed Your kitchen. It is also very similar in layout to mine. I have my sink above my window too. And I agree with the shelving on the left where you don't want to be looking at that from your living room. I actually have a similar situation with that end also. You are very talented! Thanks for the inspiration!

Your kitchen is gorgeous! I just bought the axstad Ikea kitchen and am so excited.I forgot to buy open shelves, so thanks for the reminder.I love your hardware too,and you are like me-I hate things on the counter.(You can hide that crack in the Island with board and batten if you wanted to).

Thank you so much! Love the ideas... especially how you extended the island with upper cabinets. I may do the same, plus overhang for seating. So my question is, do your knees hit the door pulls under the counter when sitting in the stools? Any suggestions?

Hello, your kitchen is beautiful! Are the Ikea Axstad White Cabinets easy to keep clean?

I love your kitchen ideas. I'm looking to remodel my kitchen (last time was 18 years ago). The one mistake I made is going with a microwave hood vent combo over the stove to save space. It fails miserably as a hood vent - just not enough power. Plus, my microwave broke before the stove. So I have the option of switching it out but it won't match the rest of my appliances. But when I do eventually remodel my kitchen then I have a microwave that has some wear and tear. My new kitchen plan is to get a hood like yours and also put the microwave someplace else. Microwaves are used 10x a day and the slamming of the doors and everything else - it breaks a lot quicker than your my other appliances. Plus they are cheaper to replace when it's a small stand alone unit. Just plug and unplug. When it's bolted to the cabinet over your stove, then it's a bigger pain.

What kind of countertops and can you go through a breakdown of start to finish for the remodel?

GORGEOUS kitchen! Do you remember the name of your backsplash tiles? I've been looking for a way to add a touch of green to my kitchen without it being overpowering, and really like what you have!

Hi Chris. The sink is from Costco. They still sell it but the inserts that come with it are different. It was 299.00 when we bought it in 2018. I believe its still the same price. The hood and all the appliances are from the GE Cafe Series. That series offers three different options over the range. They offer the hood we got, a built in microwave and a data control center thing that was just plain ugly. Thanks so much for watching.

We have never had a problem with them. I just wipe them down every few weeks and they are good to go.

Did you install your kitchen lighting?

If you had to choose between getting three 30 inch pantry cabinets Or four 24 inch pantries straight across from ikea, what would you choose? I figured the 24 inches would be structurally stronger for storing heavy things, but the 30 would be more convenient for organization, comfort of reach, and a shorter door swing (2x15in doors vs 1x24inch.) What are your thoughts? Prices are almost the same

I may have missed it, but are the countertops ikea also?

It is very easy to clean as long as you clean as you go.

Your kitchen looks very nice and I am thinking of remodeling my kitchen and making it a funcional and pretty looking kitchen. I am sold on ikea cabinets and look forward to taking the plunge on the remodel. I hate how kitchens are put in homes and are so dysfunctional. Look forward to having drawers throughout the kitchen and defiantly installing a white kitchen. Question for you, when I saw your video I recognized the back splash tile from floor and decor-what color is your grout? It looks like lime green. I am going to install cabinets in my laundry room of 10 x 10 to see if the finish product looks good before I decide to tackle reminding my kitchen.

Hello. The grout is white. The green tiles between the bigger tiles is part of the mosaic. So I just used white sanded grout.

Did you need an electrician to install your microwave? Did he have to jackhammer through the floor?
