lol Always good stuff Donovan, good to see your business growth over the years too. One other thing I love on my ladder is I bought skateboard grip tape, cut it to rung size and put it on all the rungs. Gives me extra grip, even when the boots or ladder is wet.

I attached an entire skateboard to my ladder,
Awesome! Thank you so much!!
Awesome video my brother, like the energy you have. Nice ladder gadgets
1:42 great advice, have these myself
Dude! you saved me like 30 bucks or more just on this video...right on from the Old Guy in Indianapolis....I actually subscribed to your channel so you better be funny like in this video...LOL...thanks again
Those no bull boots are awesome and fix a huge problem for me!!! Thanks so much!! Those Werner ones suck and are the same price!
Great Video! I still want to know how you keep that ladder standing all by itself...
Great video. Some extra commentary but most of what you said was super helpful to answer questions I've been looking into: universal vs quick click models; really appreciated the no bull ladder bumper tip. I might pick those up too. Even the tip about ladder level was super useful. Thank you much!! Only other question: 1. will either Werner universal ladder stabilizer or the Werner quick clip fit multi-position ladders, including gorilla MPX22?
Great video. I just bought one of the ladder stabalizers to help me keep the ladder steady while filming KZread videos for Gutter Stick. Great info... How did you keep that ladder stand up like that?
does the bar you installed in your video needs to be bolted to the the extension part of the ladder that makes it taller? when is leaning against the house the extension bar needs to be under the ladder (closer to house) or over ladder (closer to ladder climber) one more question can i take the little feet that swivel at bottom of ladder off and put those blue things so they touch ground? (so blue things at both ends)
Good video, thanks. 🪜👍
If you climb onto the roof, is it best to mount the stabilizer on the 3rd or 4th rung so you have a good hand hold on the ladder when you get past the gutter or roof line?

In my opinion it gets in the way. However you should follow OSHA regulations. They make extenders for the top that give you. Hand hold, and allow you to step through them. Also gives you the 3 feet above the gutter line.
Just some advise the ladder safety per OSHA is suppose to go 3 ft higher than the edge of what you are putting it on. That's why the stabilizer bar that you can take on and off goes to the second bar which will put your 3rd bar above the edge not letting you step on the top rung.
Hi Donovan, love the vids. I can’t find your leg levelers install vid. 2 Q’s What kind do you recommend and how long of a cable do you use for the Guardian? I bought a 50ft which was massive.

Richard, 50ft WOW!, I have never used a 50ft ladder before. You should take a look at my “Ladder Mover”, it carries multiple ladders and supplies in one easy trip!
I prefer the Werner adjustable standoff that also enables to have long standoff legs to position ladder out beyond large soffits.
Great video ladder safety is very important way more people die from ladder falls then high rise window cleaners.

70% of the cost of ladders is for litigation purposes. Ya, we need more lawyers. 😢
There are 2 aluminum plates that come with that stabilizer, they go on the ends to stop the stabilizer from cutting into the rubber bumpers from inside. They are VERY IMPORTANT. Big thing he left out.

Well , if you buy those “No Bull Bumpers” you wouldn’t really need the OEM bumpers.
I would think the sharp U bar ends would cut through the stabilizer mitts eventually. Those pads you threw out can go inside the mitts. I had to pin on my loose pads. I put the bar above the rung so I don’t need those fiddly extruded aluminum clips. If you turn you U-bolts diagonally the other way it will line up with a rung and not slip askew. The square u-bolt crowns are to short to fit my Flint box lock blind mortise hand shaved rung wood ladder. Where’s the drum roll for the balancing ladder.
whivh ladder leveler do you recommend?> Dont see it in your videos
Which leg levelers do you recommend your website is not working, and I can't find the second video on the leg leveler? Thanks Bob in Oregon
Donovan, I've had a question on this. I saw where someone said to extend the ladder up 3-runs past the roof line. What's your thought? I've always set it up like you have in the video. But, I'm getting old and a belly so, the center of gravity is messed up bending over this far. 😂.

I feel like it gets in the way. Also once it rests on the roof it's usually about 3 feet past the roof line to meet the OSHA requirements.

We do this in the fire department but that’s just because we want to be able to see where our quick means of egress are since the building is on fire. Only other thing is to have something to grab on to when getting on/off the roof.

The 3 rung rule keeps your body centered above your feet while doing the roof to ladder transition. Bending down near a roof edge, looking back, while backing up to reach a leg blindly over the edge to feel a rung under a foot is a very uncomfortable position to be in. A roof edge is not the place to be uncomfortable. My knees only allow my leg to bend backward, maybe people who have knees that bend either way don't experience that uncomfortable feeling transitioning onto a ladder that's 1 rung above a roof line... If you happen to be one of those people please let us know your thoughts.
Which make and model ladder are you using in this video ?
Don’t see a video on your channel about the levelers you prefer?
More videos please.
When do you use a harness and line and how do you attach it?

Anytime we are on the roof we try to use a harness. I like using the RidgePro, Guardian lanyard, and Guardian Harness.
Thank you for posting! I subscribed to your channel and bought the stand-off / stabilizer for my 24’ Werner fiberglass extension ladder, it makes a big difference in stability, I feel much safer. If you ever get tired of carrying your ladders, take a look at my “Ladder Mover”, it carries multiple ladders and supplies in one easy trip!

Hey, so you got the fixed stabilizer just like the one shown in this video? I think it’s part # AC96. I was told that it wouldn’t fit on fiberglass ladders. I think it’s just because the ubolts aren’t long enough. Did you have to get bigger ones?
@LadderMover

@@kyled159 The U-bolts were long enough for my ladder, didn't have to buy anything extra to make it work with my ladder. When assembled, the clear space inside the U-bolt to the bracket is 5". Please note that I purchased mine a long time ago from Werner, it looks just like the one in the video, but has no part number on it, so I can't say for sure that is exactly the same one.

@@LadderMover ok thank you! Yeah my dad has had the fixed stabilizer for 30 years from them. I just got a new 24’ fiberglass and contacted Werner and they insist that ac96 won’t fit fiberglass. I want the fixed and not quick connect so I will buy it and see if I need different ubolts
For the 24 footer you are missing something that I think is key. Auto leveling legs. NOT the cotter pin type and not the plunger type. They are Level EZE levelers. Wait you just brought them up. They are not THAT hard to install, they add a ton of safety AND the weirdest thing about them is they actually are heavier but make the ladder feel lighter when you are carrying it because they act as a perfect counterweight. They are worthy of the list despite difficulty to install.
How did you not include ladder leveling attachments
Do these work along with the werner walk through accessory?
My guy, can you link the video you made on leveling feet?
Just got one. It made the ladder unbalanced , So my ladder won’t stand up by itself anymore. Thanks for the video
What up Beavis!
You're wasted climbing ladders . You should be an entertainer . You're a naturally funny guy .
I like this guy!😂💀
You had the ladder propped up, that's why you never showed the bottom of the ladder on the floor.
he should mention that is the price in the states, on amazon canada its $247
😎 my type of teacher
Stupid question. Does all that stuff go on the top of the ladder or the bottom? I'm assuming the top. But you're never explained exactly where to install all that

What benefit is there to having a ladder standing upright on its own?

Did this business go belly up ?
What are you saying? The stand-off gets in the way of your feet? Your feet should be nowhere near as high as that!
Why couldn't you just answer the question instead of getting more clicks.
Less comedy, more explanation please. And if you're gonna just direct me to another video, delete this one.
