As of recent, the VF kit has all of the little updates done for you. The cutout is already done by VCM on the infill panel. Great kit for the money 👍

Great video. Had 98% of what i needed to install on my 2016 SS (VF2). The only thing missing was how to get the kazoo tube off. The tips for moving the radiator hose and clocking the MAF and PCV hoses were great as well. Would have liked the kit to come with a rubber grommet for the kazoo hole in the firewall, but i love how it looks and performs

When I buy my SS and a VCM OTR for it, it will be good to know where to come for detailed instruction of how to install it by a VCM tech. I had been told the instructions for installation were questionable or, nonexistant. Nice to know you are present here.

1. No uploads of how to clean the VCM air kn filter and if its hard or easy, if you stuff it up and break it, then your up for a new otr all over again ? 2. Also no upload of cleaning the maf sensor or the throttle body at all ? 3. No mention at all of the engine needs to re tuned as well, for a company like VCM you would think they would do a proper upload showing you everything you need to do for the install and also maintenance of the new larger KN if they use a kn air filter to suit the VCM and even if its supplied or just a cheap chinese copy of a KN larger air filter?

Showing easiest way to remove filter for cleaning would be great. Not one video out there for it. Do you have to remove the whole unit ?

Great product, very easy instructions. Really made a difference to the car's sound and performance. It sure feels faster. Tell me, are the two plastic plugs that secure the side covers to the otr supposed to go through all the way to the metal hole underneath or just through the two plastic holes? My connections have some movement but the plugs only go through the plastic, not into the metal holes underneath. Also what kind of power gain is developed after this mod? My 6.0 feels quite a bit more powerful at WOT

I had an issue fitting the pins in with the fascia panels, no matter how long i struggled they wouldn't clip in

Does the VCM OTR not contain a filter? I've not seen one in any of the installs which is a problem. No filter to capture dirt/debris means bad business for your engine.

it has a reusable K&N element in it.

i now have a massive problem with heatsoak with the maf now. the AIT seems to sit around 50c and over 60 at the lights. any advice would be sweet other then go mafless.

The 2 brackets that attach to inside radiator mounts, are they needed? What fasteners are used?

I've got a blank grommet in my kit and not sure where it goes, the wedge tail plug was already installed

Question, I bought my Holden UTE redline second hand that had already been tuned, so now if I get a OTR intake will I have to get my car tuned again?

By any chance is there any help I can get, my pcv line wouldn’t fit into the top part by the coil packs we tried multiple ways to fit but it wouldn’t go in

I couldn't understand what you were saying about the 2 brackets that do or don't come with the kit, I have three V8 Caprice ppv and I'm trying to understand where those brackets go, mine don't have any slots in them

OTR - Over The Radiator airbox , the design relocates the MAF (mass air flow) sensor to mount directly to the inlet manifold, and allows filtered air straight into the MAF, rather than via the 3 90 degree bends of the standard airbox setup

That otr intake looks very restricted

yes it restricts the air going to the top of the radiator and also the a/c condenser, which is never discussed, the engine will run a little hotter and the same with the A/c condenser with less cold air hitting it, especially during the summer months? VCM does not mention anything about the radiator and engine cooling reduction and what the % are and the same with the a/c condenser % reduction especially in summer AU hot months?

@@7071t6 not necessarily, as the OTR doesn't sit ON the radiator/condenser, it sits in front of it, allowing plenty of room for air to still go in behind the OTR and keep things cool.

From what i understand any modification ,OTR , exhaust ,extractors ,cam ,intake ,turbo charger ,supercharger, underdrive pulley, heads ect will require a tune. If you plan on doing a series of modifications do them in stages as each time you tune will set you back quite abit of cash.

As I am aware an OTR wont require a tune as the computer will change the airflow as needed however it may be running lean so a tune is not required however if it was tuned it would be using the OTR at its best potential
