depends on how you would like to decorate your inner cards. If you're gonna use decorations that might be heavy, I would recommend you to use thicker papers as the background. Like me, I used manila card as the background. You can use any colored paper. It's just the matter of the paper's thickness whether it could support the inner items and be stable when you make it into a box ^_^
