How should it now be sewn? Coz it's going to be falling if it isn't attached to the side (as in the hip and waist) of the dress

Stitch underneath each fold ensuring it overlaps so the stiches doesn't show.
Plz how can I cut it 2geda with peplum to cover someone's big belly
