    MzStuckup Kay I have high porosity 4a-z hair lol I blend the seeds to a paste with boiling water to avoid the bits being left in. I have had mini twists in for 3 months so it helps when the paste is smoother. Fenugreek, aloe Vera juice, olive oil, grape seed oil, almond oil, honey, yogurt, amla, brahmi, hibiscus, and moringa if I feel I need more vitamins. It literally looks like it relaxes your hair so don't trip but my hair instant hydrates with full curls. It's the rinsing part that you have to be tedious with. If you avoid the lil bits, you can rinse out the product just enough. If you have to over rinse you're basically stripping out everything and the moisture. I leave it for an hour or so. All of this is after my 30min acv deep treatment to cleanse my scalp. Doing this, I now see what they mean when they say you may not be a 4c you just need moisture. My twists are always shiny now and my ends and edges have a true curl pattern now. You know how hair is when it clumps in uniformity, that's what will happen. Smooth clumps of curls with no breaks or bends in them when you feel it. Good luck!

    Usually when making a mask, you want to add a moisture function like aloe or mix it with your deep conditioner. And wet hair is to your benefit not damp, also it’s not a detangler in this format, try slippery elm. I get you want to see but not everything works as a stand alone. You also need to use a co wash to get it out that’s the best way to do it . It’s hard because you aren’t using anything to bring moisture. When you add something you don’t need to add a lot ie aloe, you actually need to use measurements so things are balanced. Your hair may be hard simply because you used a lot of seeds. Again after any Ayurvedic mask or treatment you MUST moisturize after and use a co wash to make it easier to remove the herbs. If all you did is rinse it out then that is why your hair is hard to the touch. Tips just tips. I have low porosity hair and I have Type 4 hair that looks nothing like yours. I’m not sure where you are looking information up but in my year or so of doing research on Ayurvedic hair treatments, Fenugreek isn’t pushed as a protein treatment, but for it’s hair growth and properties that are good for your scalp. Common mistake is people do not co wash to remove the treatments and don’t moisturize after either. So to offset that adding Aloe Vera powder to the treatment is a big help and doesn’t require a lot. Again you need to know your measurements because too much of anything can have a negative affect. Hope that helps everyone. 💙

    Low porosity best prepoo is rice water and onion water mix. Boil the onions for about 5 min. Discard the onions and use the water only. Mix with fermented rice water. Pour over your hair and place a cap over your hair overnight or at least a few hours. Rinse and then shampoo your hair! No shedding, sooo soft. Rice water alone had my hair hard but mixed with onion water, it was great! And no, your does not smell. Onion water is a game changer

Made my hair very manageable and soft. My hair normally is curled tight and tangled after washing. I will definitely continue to use the fenugreek.

    I am also protein sensitive but surprisingly fenugreek doesn't make my hair tangle not break. I am a 4a in the back and a 4c in the front. It makes my coils in the front defined and the back becomes curly. I love how soft and manageable my hair feels. In addition I found out I am allergic to the seeds once they touch the rest of my body I itxh for hours.

    Good vid. Wow that's a lot of fenugreek! I only use 1-2 tbsp fenugreek and mix them with aloe Vera juice and let it sit overnight in a jar. The next day, I blend it up, add a little water or more AVJ and its a creamy consistency. Then I add a lil oil, I add some sea moss gel, a lil black rice water, maybe some melted shea butter and honey (I rarely add those last 2). Blend it A LOT, and It's a beautiful fluffy consistency and my hair freakin' LOVES it!! Mostly no little bits cuz I let it blend on the bullet for a while. And I don't add heat with this one cuz I don't wanna overload my hair.

    its hard because it puts a protective coating on the hair where the shafts are damaged but adding a good hair oil like olive oil or argon with a good leave in will help. The hair is just dry and needs to be moisturized a little goes a long way but it helps the hair maintain strength and doesn't damage hair. If your hair was dry before it will be dry after. I can only use a fenugreek oil on my scalp. I haven’t concocted my own mixture. I ordered it from a company called Luxemane. It was very effective and I got 3/4 inch growth in 30 days. Full disclosure, I only use it when I have a 4-6 week protective style in like crochet braids. It will mess up your wash and go so🤷🏽‍♀️ I cant fenugreek anything on my hair. But I wonder if supplements are just as effective.

    Fenugreek treatment destroyed my low-porosity 4C hair. It made my hair hard, dry, brittle and extremely tangled. It was nearly impossible to get the tangles out. I eventually had to cut off about 5 inches. It took about 1 year for my hair to recover and start feeling and acting normal again.

    To keep it basic, so that I can understand, means that your hair does not require or need any more protein. Many people tend to find this out when their hair doesn't take to kindly to coconut oil. The hair becomes hard, brittle and may even break. Many also find that their hair also doesn't take to kindly to Aloe vera, rice water, henna, amla etc which is unfortunate because many hair treatments and ayurvedic products like amla are protein based. Being a plentiful and cheap, coconut oil is found in most beauty products. It may also explain why your hair isnt growing. Because it is growing but its constantly breaking.

    Doreen Patterson yes my hair reacts so badly to these products to I avoid them as much as I can. I also found out my conditioner had protein as a second ingredient which is not very good considering I m already overloading on protein. Any advice on how to fix this?

  • @maryapatterson

    @maryapatterson

    @@leavemealone3198 Remember they list the ingredients from highest to lowest in terms of % of the item. Coconut oil is cheap snd plentiful so that tends to be in everything. Aloe vera is flavour of the month so that is everywhere. Wheat protein is also used. However silk proteins are fine.However it all depends how sensitive you are. You might have wheat protein in an item but irs right at the bottom of the ingredient list, then you might be able to use it, but just don't leave it in too long . Unfortunately its all trial and error and alot reading the back of hair bottles.

    If your hair is already dry. It will drain it of all your moisture. This is a protein treatment. If you are protein sensitive. I would say reach max hydration first then ease into it. Because you have to have a balance of moisture and protein to grow your hair.

    Hello. But isn’t Fenugreek have Protein? Ty

  • @IydaMichael

    @IydaMichael

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hello! Yes it does have protein. We still need to incorporate proteins in our hair depending on our hair needs, we just have to find the right balance to achieve healthy hair. If you neglect protein completely, you will eventually experience moisture overload and if you use too much protein, you will experience protein overload. So the key is to figure out what proteins work best for your hair type and how often you should incorporate proteins in your hair regimen in order to achieve a greta moisture protein balance. I have videos explaining this in more detail! ❤️
