DIY GIANT outdoor Christmas gift box decorations!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
These DIY Christmas decorations will make a great addition to your yard at Christmas time! The DIY GIANT gift boxes range in all sizes and can be customized to fit your yard! They will make a statement in your front yard. This is a fun build with these easy-to-follow steps. I will walk you through all the steps from measuring, putting everything together, painting, and assembly. These gift boxes are large, but they break apart into multiple pieces in minutes which makes storage easier. When you display them for Christmas, you can use them in the day and night! Just add a spotlight to make them shine bright at night. After you understand how to make one Christmas gift box, you can make many more with the same steps. All you will need to do is change the dimensions. Have fun with this DIY Christmas project and I wish you good luck!
I have been building DIY Christmas decorations for years for my personal Christmas display which was featured on ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight" (Season 7 episode 4) and we were fortunate enough to win! Now I have decided to share my DIY projects with you! I hope you enjoy and have fun building!

I’m sure he used the hardboard and the joinery is hidden under the ribbon coming down the side.
This is amazing!

Where do you live, perhaps someone local might be willing to make them for you if it's outside your skillset.
very cool!
Technically if displaying offset you can leave the back open, thus saving on plywood. So for a box you could only do two sides and the top. 😜 unless you live in a corner lot or really open space. Then it gets expensive. 😂
Sooooo cute ❤❤❤❤❤
Great detail video, thanks for sharing
Amazing!!❤❤❤ Love it!
Those are amazing! Great work! ❣
So amazing and creative work you do. Wow thanks for sharing.
Beautiful boxes, clear thorough instructions....SUBBED!
very cool.....thanks for the share....
I loved God bless you
Awesome
You are so talented, please keep going. Love the videos
If I may make a suggestion. There is a lack of ideas and directions for holiday parade props. I feel you could create some wonderful items with your skill. For example, I am considering making these boxes for the parade with a rolling bases so they can be pulled by lawn mowers. Your creativity is needed in this category. Thanks
These are soooooo cool! 👏👏👏👍🙌
Awesome job, very cool, love them such a great idea 🎄🧑🎄☃️

Thank you!
Those are awesome, but, if really love to see how you made the circular one. I'm in Australia and I think MDF might have to be my go to, don't think we have anything called hardboard at the local large hardware chain where the prices are bearable!
👍
❤❤❤
Can you give measurements for a box that is smaller??? Like possibly a 3 ft box!
Oh my wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. But I’m very confuse about the round gift box
@holidaylightingcreations

For the round one I cut a circle out of plywood for the bottom and top then used the 2x2’s around the edge. I used a thin piece of plywood I was able to bend to give the round shape. If you have any more questions let me know!
Love your videos and thank you for giving the dimensions. Im going to give this a try but was wondering what is the color codes for the red and green.

I know the red was “flirt alert” from Home Depot. I will have to look what color the green was.

How much for a complete set and where are you located?
Looks great! Do you have any problems with these when it gets windy?
@holidaylightingcreations

No, they are heavy enough to withstand a strong wind. I would recommend anchoring them down with concrete steaks though.
I think that's hardboard, not MDF. But that's an awesome build!!!

Where the heck do you store all this during non Christmas season … :/ love the idea tho
How is the frame made for the round present?
Did u use MDF for the outside of the round one? And did u build it in 4 quarters as well and let the ribbon hid the seam? Surely it's not one or two sections only... But the sections are triangular in shape, correct? Good job btw! Very precise!

The ribbons are made from hardboard not MDF. I said that incorrectly in the video. You can use hardboard to to make the round gift, but I used poplar sanded plywood because it was flexible. (Bend it slow so it doesn’t break in half) The round one I made it in two halves but you could do 4. I cut a plywood half circle for the top and bottom and attached 2x2’s around the edges then screwed the side on. Yes the ribbon hides the seams. It’s attached to one side and slides in the other side.

@@holidaylightingcreations could I also use 5mm under layment for the outside?
@holidaylightingcreations
9 ай бұрын
Yes just make sure you seal it well with paint. If you use it for the round one make sure you can bend it. If you use it for the square gift boxes it will change the dimension’s because it’s not 1/2”.
