I am the same way I have a general idea what I want and I change it every year! 😂 I am most decorated house near me and I love bringing joy to those that sees it. My neighbors start bugging hubby wanting to know when we will get it put up. Omg Halloween I am just as bad I keep adding every year! Hubby said I need a warehouse to store my stuff

Your yard looks great! Especially the gingerbread family, so cute. And you are so right, we as adults need to bring the Christmas magic to the young. I have 8 grandchildren (with 2 on the way) and I decorate my house to the nines! People say why do you do all that work? Because it’s so worth it to see their faces when they walk into our home for Christmas. And they will remember. 🎄

I think it's so crazy that you wear tshirts while putting up Christmas lights. I am from Germany and when I put up Christmas lights it is either icy and rainy or so foggy I can't see what I am doing. It’s so true what you said… you have to make it magical I am overboard too when it comes to decorating outdoors…. I’m starting to put stuff out. I did my arches already cause it’s been cold and with the time change gets darker sooner…then it rains so slowly but I’m getting it done

for the arches, if you use a 3 or 4 way fitting at the apex of the arch, and run another pipe from arch to arch it helps with stability.

Your ginger bread family scene is so cute!!! I love the idea of putting lights along the roof line of the ginger bread too. I'm loving the new lights on your house and that they go with music. I'm curious do you put speakers in your front yard to play music so that people can listen and watch the lights dance to the music too?

Looks so good! I saw you said some of your string lights aren’t working. I saw something on Instagram the other day about being able to pop open the top of plug and changing the fuse! Not sure if that’s true but worth a try right?

The permanent lights? They should last quite a while. They’re waterproof and weather proof & LED. It says they should last 50,000 hours

I agree its not as magical as it was when I was a kid. I am the house that decorates to the max, but people don't decorate like they used too. I remember almost every house had lights. We had Candy Cane and toy solder Lane in Chicago, those are gone. people stopped decorating. I wont because it is the holidays.
