Help!! I'm 65 and have very very fragile thin short short nails. I have done 40 years of acrylic and gel nails. When nails are on I never pick on my fingers. But when they come off they are layered like an onion so I tart to pick and bite them down to nothing. I've purchased a ton of nail strengthening products to give my nails a break between new nails. I dont know how to get them strong again. Or know if they have always been thin. I was a nail biter as a child and see myself doing that again. Btw my toe nails are strong and thick so I'm perplexed as to why my hand nails have never been hard. Help please.

Hi! I’m so sorry to hear your struggle but I promise it can get better. I have a video specifically talking about damage from acrylics and how to rehabilitate them. I will be doing a video very soon on how to care for your nails in general daily That will hopefully give a little bit more information but definitely make sure to check out my other video the process I promise is very simple it just requires patience and consistency. In a nutshell no more product on your nails unfortunately it’s difficult to find a professional who can truly care for the health of your nails and not damage them further. It’s better to not have anything on them. Keep them short and rounded until we grow out all of that week now. Pushing your cuticle back is essential you can do this every day when you get out of the shower since the skin is already so soft. You can definitely expect the care for your nails video within the next couple of weeks so stay tuned! And keep me posted on your progress

@The Natural Nail Guru... I did exactly what you recommended w a little twist. I purchased a stainless steel cuticle pusher and started pushing them back everyday. I then purchased some tiny tips in the interim so they still look a little cute. I'm also applying a strengthener 2x week. Only because they are extremely fragile and too thin. I gently file the tip and apply 3 coats of nail polish. So far I see progress. Thank you for push start 💋❤️
