My comment us I noticed the salon using exactly same tools on others. This is not sanitary. All together I'm buying the metal cuticle tool. Like for ANC nails off and go back doing my nails. You gave good advice, helpful to me. I've got heart issues and this was a good point. Thank you!

It's best to avoid fake nails for a while. Instead, use nail repair polish or nail hardener to let the nails regenerate back to health.

I'm all about holistic diy. And my nails have always been bad. But 2 questions. 1. Do they make your nails smell or does the base coat eliminate it? 2 does it tint your nail color over time with prolonged use? Thank you for sharing this!! 🙏

Hi! So I recently got into making press on nails and I went onto a bunch of drop shipping apps and got a crap ton of gel polish but now I'm fearing that they'll expire before I get to use them.. However I never use it on my natural nails since I just do press on nails, would it still be safe to use them in the future if I don't use them on natural nails? I usually use the soft gel full cover tips or the plastic ones.

Its important to note that when you are doing base coat dont remove the sticky layer if your gonna put gel or polygel on top of it.

So happy I found your channel. I’m learning so much. I’ve been getting acrylic overlay on my natural nails for about a year now. I recently got acrylic soaked off and gel polish only on my real nails. Now I’m interested in doing my own gel application so my nails are not being over filed and I can use healthier polish. So happy to finally be FULLY natural. I always thought my nails would be too weak without acrylic.

Could someone please advise me on this? I’ve got serious damage on all my nails from acrylics, however when I try to push back the cuticle, the skin around the nail tends to split and get sore, there is still cuticle there on the nail bed so I’m no over scraping… thanks so much for your help!:)

I purchased their product based on Amazon reviews and I just tried it first time on my toes, I'm so glad it did well for a professional! I have been getting my toes done for about 2 years and I finally decided to take a dive and dyi it.. mostly because my last gel pedi popped off before I got home from the salon lol I figured if I invest $200 into the products I will still save a ton of $$$$ within first 6 months! Love your reviews, you aim for affordable products that are available for everyone and that's exactly what I need!

I got this nail polish remover steamer and it is great! This is the easiest time I have ever had taking off my gel polish. I immediately called my friend and recommended it. I use several layers of polish because my natural nails have gotten so long using gel polish, so it has always taken a lot of time to get it all off. After I filed off the topcoat, I used this and machine and it took a little time, but I had it my lap as I watch TV, and then I’d stick one nail out at a time and carefully push the polish off. It works great, and my hands aren’t all white and dry like when I use the acetone on them directly. This was a great investment: now I can remove the polish once a week since my nails grow 1mm a week and at 2 weeks I had 2mm of new growth to show when I regularly changed my polish and dreaded the process of removing the gel. I am rather new to gel polish, having only used it since February 2014. I have tried: 1. soaking my nails directly in 100% acetone, 2. Putting cotton in the the acetone and wrapping my fingers with aluminum foil (both bought kits, and just cutting foil), 3. Putting a tiny nail piece of cotton with acetone on each nail, wrapping with plastic and then putting on the clips (this worked the best before the steamer), 4. Filing off the polish carefully. 5. This Nail Steamer Gel Remover Machine. This steamer is a game changer. I highly recommend it.

When I went to the salon, it was my first time ever. I told the nail tech this. I noticed a reddish ring below the acrylics on nearly all of my nails, but didn’t know at the time what it was. I also didn’t know that getting them filled was important, but later found out why when a couple nails started to split horizontally. They aren’t bleeding, it’s not painful, but it is painful only from the sides of my nails. I’ve been keeping them clean because I don’t want any fungal infections. With more research on how to remove these acrylics (because I don’t trust nail salons after this experience), how nails grow, rings of fire, etc., I’ve been slowly removing the acrylics in increments. I kinda beat myself up because I should’ve done more research on what red flags to look for on my nails, how to maintain acrylics, etc. 😕 Does anyone know how to treat nails split horizontally? Do I just keep them clean and wrap them in bandaids? Do I need to do silk wraps? Do I need to remove the part of my nail that is loose?

Hi, does the brand of the Colored gel polish matter when it comes to peeling or lasting? Or does it only matter the base and top coat brand?

This is exactly what I say to technicians about my naturally delicate nails! This is how I take care of them so, it’s good to know that I’m doing it right. I get so angry when technicians seem less knowledgeable and hurt my nails. It happens sometimes and then I have to get really on top of them as they’re working to curb some damage. I would trust someone like you with my nails!

I know this video is old, but I am new to the whole nail stuff like the acrylic and the gel polish and the first brand I bought was from Beetles. After the second time using it I noticed I got little bumps on my fingers, and my fingers were itchy. At first I thought maybe I wasn't cleaning my supplies but then I realized I would get an allergic reaction after the product touched my skin. I love the colors it has to offer so I just wanted to give this warning but I do think using the gel for designs won't give you allergic reactions. Also just be careful it doesn't touch your skin because Ive gotten the allergies many many times because I love this brand so much I can't stop using it and the allergies really suck😅

The cuticle is the sticky film which grows with the nail. The protective barrier is the Proximal nail fold which shouldnt be cut. They're Not one and the same. UK

Wait, you’re not saying anything about why you would use the wipe top coat! Not much of a comparison review. The topcoats that require a wipe are still being sold full price so there must be some benefits to using them. What are they? Can you get a glossier coat from those? What else?
