Great Job guys..... Been trying to figure out how to hold my Rod tips thru the shell to the cab. Great idea using the head rest !

The piece that you installed on top of your shell. what is the distance that you mounted it say from the curve part out. 6" or more ? ur custom rod holder appears to look like it's real close to the window. Maybe measure inside from the curve to your holder. Thanks

Thanks for posting this. I'm in Brevard County Florida and I love surf fishing. The bad thing is while walking up to the beach to check the wind conditions a friend had his rods stolen in less than 5 minutes out of the back of his pick up truck. That was $1000 gone. I use 12 foot rods and the damn 5 foot beds of the the newer trucks suck!!! You solution is pretty cool leaving rods out of sight and locked up. Thanks again

Not at all, although hasn’t been tested in harsher conditions like off roading
