I love this video. I never realized that fish rooms just added new water to the tanks. I thought it was recycled water like a homeowner tank. I’m just getting back into fish and looking to build a room. This has been a great help.

Very well explained. I don’t have room for a water storage tote nor nearly as many tanks as you so I think I will do a variant of your system. It won’t be automatic, but every tank will be plumbed so I only have to flip a switch or turn a ball valve to drain and another to fill. This way I can add dechlorinator manually. I like doing water changes because I like watching the fish’s reactions to changing water levels, so this way I can sit and be mesmorized.

Love the use of the Booster pump and plex tubing. Should work great for top offs and refilling after water changes on my shrimp racks. Great info on all these videos Jason. Thank you! Just ordered my parts, I added in a sediment filter and 60 psi limiter for the manifold, and shut off valves before the drip emitters. Went with 2 gph drip emitters so I can refill 10-20% of a 10gallon in 30-60 mins or so.

I thought from your commentary on the video that you had set up sub-sections, one for each group of 6 tanks, with some type of manifold to switch between them. But you didn't show anything like that, or list any parts. So are all of these tanks connected "in series" so to speak?

Hey Jason, I am thinking of using this with my 10 gallon rack system i just set up. There are 4 10 gallon tanks per shelf, 12 total tanks per rack. Do you think i can run all 12 tanks on this pump using 1/2 gallon drip emitters? I don't want to purchase an underperforming pump, or not be able to do the entire rack with 1 pump since i have 4 i need to do. Secondly, since you are only running a few tanks on each manifold, are you just swapping them when you're about to change another set of tanks? So basically just have a bunch of runs next to the pump labelled and ready to swap one after the other to continue doing WCs? Thanks for everything, Daku

@@JadrenAquatics ... Ahh okay, I thought I seen you had one, guess I was wrong. I agree hatching eggs with all the dyi ways it's not needed but it seems like it comes with a lot so wanted one anyways with all the fish I have now and hundreds coming in steadily, I just thought it was best. I have a few offers thrown at me that I do not really want but may take them for fish swaps, no clue yet, just throwing out there possibility of some trading with you by other breeders, I have flowerhorns I and discuss that I could be wholsaling or trading out now. Higher end, flowerhorns and discuss. I have photos and such. I just don't want to commit to larger fish in tanks is the reason I am backing off them but I been involved with reptile wholesale this same way and did well with it so I'd you want to communicate about those, we can, I could send you strains and photos. Just thought I would ask if you are interested I rest assure a decent trade value and such.

@@JadrenAquatics ... Very smart move on moving out of the angels and larger species. Not a fan of them either and we think a lot a like in that area on sticking with smaller fish. If I take these in it would only be for fish swaps only and for cheap wholsale, I do not want them either for the same reasons you have. Guppies only for me, that's it.

I wished I could do automatic water changes but I do not trust the pH levels here. Now what I started doing on my breeding tanks I will have my new video out on my solar unit for Filtration and heat soon but I been installing drain pipes to mine for easy water changes. I would love to be able to have to have a fast water change system but I just do not trust the water here unless I treat in manually. Is there a guaranteed way for certain?

  • @supportyourtroopsathletes6460

@Karma I will give it a try but with breeding high end Guppies I just want to be using extra precautionary measures at all times is all. This is why I just never trusted automatic water changes but what your saying makes sense. To much to lose in my stock with the slightest mistake so I need to be cautious.
