    Great video! I'm planning out a water change delivery system now and wondering how water tight those plastic flow control valves drilled into the pvc are? (Think they're from Jemhco) Do they ever leak at all? And what water pressure you've got going into the supply line?

    So I have a question. I’m new to learning about this automated water change system. Isn’t the point of a water change to vacuum out all of the “poop” in the tank. How will that be achieved with just water flowing into the tank and out of an over flow. Or is this automated water change method Ment for another reason ?

  • @0hleg
    @0hleg2 жыл бұрын

    I’m thinking of doing this exact system essentially. My question is does dilution really replace traditional water changes completely? Or just make it so that you don’t need to do them as often.

    Question on your tankless water heater, can you regulate the tankless water heater to about 70-75 degrees and not heat to too much and mix it again again to achieve the 70 degrees ..

    Wow. Beautiful setup. I can't imagine the cost behind that but I love it. I am curious about the outflow sort of. So you do not drain down the water and then refill? Instead you just start filling the aquarium and it goes out the overflow. Essentially you are doing a water change of course just not in the traditional fashion, correct?

  • @prestigeaquaticsfish

    @prestigeaquaticsfish

    Yes I just fill the aquarium until it overflows, essentially diluting the water. A traditional water change removes the water and replaces with clean water.

    My bugger-boo is HOW LONG does the carbon block filter last!! When do you know to change it out. I did this type system once a few years back and after two or three months I managed to kill a bunch of my fish with a water change. There was not suppose to be any chlorimines in the water. I'm ready to try it again but have not. I'd love to here your suggestions even if addressed in one of your videos. Thank You!

    Great question! This carbon block is rated for one million gallons. I change it out every 500,000 gallons just to be safe. Based on my water changes, I know roughly how long it takes to get to 500k and change it at that time.

    who the heck uploads 480p videos in 2020 ? Your setup is great and the room is amazing, but if you could upload atleast 720p it would be great to have better quality that will last long into the youtube years.

    Wow that’s awesome, but for the trade surely, not the average hobbyists, unless of course your a millionaire which would be very nice , but certainly very impressive, I’d love to do that and I’d certainly love to win the lottery, but not much hope of either I’m afraid , but thanks for showing us , nice one 👍
