Ойын-сауық

My EZGO Golf Cart has been fouling spark plugs because I suspect that it has been running too rich. There is no way to adjust it, so i am replacing it. This is step by step directions on how to swap the old carb out with a new one.

Thanks for the video series on the Robin engine rebuild. I followed it all the way to rebuild my engine over the winter and its great to have a running cart again! I replaced the carb along with my rebuild "while I was at it". The issue I'm having is that the cart runs too fast - it is no longer a gentle ride. I have to choke it to contain the power. I've tried adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw which is exactly like the one on your new carb, but this doesn't make much difference in it. I've adjusted the choke to trim it closed a bit but then it gets weak trying to go up an incline. The engine sounds fine but is running too hard to be useable. Kinda like it just goes wide open when you give it some gas and keeps accelerating hard. Would you think this is an engine / carb issue or maybe a clutch issue? Honestly, it struggled to pull a hill before I rebuilt the engine and I'm disappointed that I still have this problem with the fresh engine. I disassembled and cleaned the drive clutch and "tested" the action of the driven clutch and it generally seems fine - no broken springs. I appreciate your thoughts on what I might do to tame this thing so its more pleasant to use around the place.

Hi thanks for watching and the comments. It sounds like the throttle linkages are not correct. Try to compare yours to what mine looks like in the video. Let me know if that works for you.

Hey I recently did a rebuild on my 02 EZ Go TXT with the 295 Robin engine. Your videos made it super easy. I have one one Question. There is a yellow wire that that comes from the ingnitor box to the coil that looks like itsw a ground wire and I cant find where it screws into to save my life. Tip please let me know

Hi thanks for watching and the comments. In my case the two wires coming from the ignitor were Black and Red. The come from the ignitor and run into a ivory colored plug. This plugs into a harness thats on the cart. The two wires that plug to the coil also come from the cart. The only wire I didn't use was one coming from an oil pressure switch as my cart wasn't set up to use it. You may have already but if not watch my video on the rebuild of the engine. Maybe that will help you. I think you may have already but if not, please consider Subscribing and Liking my videos. I'd really appreciate it!

Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I'm not real sure but I think it has something to do with preventing it from back firing out of the carb in to the breather. Either way if you haven't done so already please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it.

I just replaced mine following your instructions. Only thing I did differently was changing out the breather hose? That has the 90 bends in it. I put one together out of pieces parts so it might be why I’m having issues. Runs for a bit and then gets bogged down and just idles rough. Taking off clean air filter and filter box lid seems to help. Thoughts?

Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Did you replace the fuel pump? I'm not sure that's it but something to check. The fuel pump works off of the vacuum pulses of the crank case. Check the hose from the crankcase to it checking for tight fit and no leaks. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. Thanks for watching and the comments. I got it from Amazon. It was $17.59. It was just a cheap carb that from what I understand may be hit and miss. Mine works perfect with zero adjustment. No, didn’t do it at all before. Driver belt is good. On further inspection, I did find oil coming out around rhe spark plug on driver’s side. Looks like more than I’m able to handle. I really appreciate your responses and help though. Will.definitaley keep up with your videos !
