Way to go! I’m very impressed with your ambition and knowledge to tackle projects yourself. This is very much how my siblings and I grew up remodeling a 100-year-old farmhouse with our parents. Therefore, I can do things such as install tile, build a fence, repair a toilet, change oil, and operate most equipment that many females can’t. I own more tools than most men. LOL Wishing you much success with your business.

That's amazing that you know how to do all of those things. It's very important to know a lot of that. It's also great to have lots of tools. You can never have to many... at least that's what I tell myself to make me feel better haha 😄

Thank you for the video as I'm about to purchase this kit and wanted to see someone else put it together first. Good job with that Chicago Electric flux core because it's a POS and hard to weld with but you got it done.

It has definitely held up well. I haven't broken a tooth or had any issues with it yet. I've dug plenty of hard clay, rocks, and roots here. Thank you for checking out my video, and for leaving a comment.

Nice project for the welder. I've used flux core also, messy but cheap and not much extra work to clean up. You should either get a PAPR, make a PAPR for your helmet, fume extractor or use a fan to blow those fumes away from you. It will eventually catch up to you health wise if you don't. Great work, never had a doubt that it would dig good, looks solid enough. Good advice at the end as well, always a good thing to pass on experience.

Thank you for your kind comment. You're right about that. I should have been using at the minumum a fan to blow the fumes away. I do a lot of small jobs like this here and there, and you don't think a little here and there will hurt anything. But it does add up! I've met plenty of people in my line of work that didn't wear gloves with chemicals, oils, or didn't wear repirators when they should have and they all say the same thing. It does catch up to you. I've used this tooth bar quite a lot at this point and it's still working just as good as the day I put it on!

Now when it comes time to replace teeth it might be hard to get your hammer and a punch between your teeth spacing .it's nicer to get the top mount type shanks and teeth and another tip mount your shanks 1st. Then roll under with a drill bit between the gap to find the largest bar you can use to weld shanks on

That's an excellent tip and point! I've never used any other teeth / shanks than this. I will admit I had concerns in the beginning because the pins were really easy to tap in (easier than I thought they should be) I have a couple of hundred hours on these of heavy digging now and haven't lost a tooth yet! So I guess they were just fine. I am still able to get the pins out pretty easily. They gum up with mud, but I tap them with a hammer and blow them a little with compressed air and that gets them. Thank you for the great feedback, and for checking out my video.

Should have made it so it could pivot out of the way. It would go from scrape to gouge in the flick of the bucket
